So the car is back, and on charge to see what the range will be like tomorrow.

They updated it to 11/2019.40 which is not the same as some so my assumption would be the number particularly on the end is relevant to the options on the car.

I have a 330e M Sport without any options and I too had the dealer installed update 11/2019.40 on Tuesday

I had this update earlier this week, keep in mind the update resets the avg consumption on the BC, so it shows up pretty high on next charge... I'd give it 2 weeks to make a real conclusion

Yep, mine was reporting 29 miles a week back after a software update, now back to 20-23...

Yeah I'm thinking the guys with "later" numbers on the end have more options particularly the drivers pack thing

Have you seen anything different to the previous software? I didn't get anything from the dealer to what was different from 07/2019.xx

Haven’t noticed anything other than the short term range increase. Certainly doesn’t seem to include “Bug fixes”

On the Apple App Store Connected Drive has a two star rating from a large number of reviews. Says it all.

Yeah saw that, and looking at the update history for the app it seems to get some sort of update regularly...🤪🙄🤔

So managed today to do a straight pure electric only drive of 28 miles.

• 30 miles electric range showing before set off
• Electric mode selected
• 8 Celsius
• Town to town, so stop start at both ends at around 8 miles total the rest 20 miles on a dual carriageway.
• Kept to speed limits or under
• When getting in the car, only pressed electric.

So everything else on inc. Climate control and the other half's heated seat (of course &#128522.

Managed to increase the electric range once depleted and running in hybrid which it switched automatically with "natural regen" to cover another 1.9 miles on the journey.

With only one journey in the bag since the update I'm not convinced, but it seems to be an improvement on the electric range.

What was really annoying was at the final stop before home the shopping centre free to use EV chargers were all full...all be it one of which wasn't plugged in (just parked in the EV spot 😡&#128545[IMG][/IMG]

Another day and another journey, bit longer today and no charging available on route so had to do things differently.

No dual carriageways or motorways, just country B roads, up and downs and very little traffic.

In one direction Managed to run 27 miles on pure electric in electric mode with everything on as you would.

In addition the last couple of miles on Hybrid mode which added another 2 miles to the electric range.

On the way back all Hybrid and with the regen ended up on 37 miles in electric use.

The speeds we did and roads we used ultimately I could have left it Hybrid mode and feel it would have been a similar outcome, and my theory for most journeys it's probably best to just leave it hybrid mode.

Thanks for your updates! Pls let us know your driving speeds/average so we can compare as well (I’m gettin mine in, hopefully, a few days).

Doesn’t electric mode regen some battery as well? Or you must use some hybrid mode to regen some charge?

All modes will regenerate during braking. Eco pro will use regen to brake as you approach roundabouts etc(as long as the satnav is set)

On the iDrive, select options, general options then scroll almost to the very bottom and you’ll see software update.

Click on that and it’ll tell you what you’re currently running on

Can’t be done over the air as yet so an hour and a half job at your dealer awaits you.
Tell them ( as they’re probably unaware) that you require the latest update which I think is still 11/2019.40
