What BMW did you have that had an OFF button? I think for modern BMWs that's more of an exception.
The F25 has it in the same way as the G20. The fan speed can be reduced till it turns off. I saw a lot of people complaining (not on this forum) that the G20 doesn't have an AC off button whereas the F30 did. I've never owned an F30 so I don't know what buttons it has or doesn't have
The G20 fans can be turned off with a long press of the fan button.

Don't need to keep pressing down until it goes off.

Not tried this but I wonder if you can have it go off using the shortcut buttons as well?
Can't use the shortcut buttons to program AC on/off. Already tried this before, doesn't allow it.

Is the reduced mode specific to the 340i ? Don’t have that option in the 330. Software version is 03/2020.

Hmm, does your car have heads up display ? Maybe reduced mode can only be activated with heads up display.

Maybe it is something to do with the driving assist pro?
I can't see that option on your photo either.

Iirc the reduced mode was present on cars with an older iDrive software? Someone said they didn’t have it a while back and when I asked them, they had a newer software.

My car doesn’t have driving assist pro but it has the HUD and reduced view. I’m on 07.2019.xx. That’s probably why.

I'm on a newer versions and don't have it or assisted view option.

Why remove something like reduced mode, doesn't make sense.

Reduced Mode has never appeared on my G05 X5 which I've owned since June last year. I would guess it's something to do with software.

Could be market-specific as well. Perhaps code-able for you guys in the UK?

I have it on my 330e in UK, with 11/19 software. Although I don't use it I hate it when they remove options in newer versions so won't be impressed when I update.

I'm on 03/2020 which makes sense then. Why remove a feature like that? Liability purposes?

Makes no sense. You would think one of the best infotainment systems in the car world would allow much more customization for their owners, but for some reason they don't. I mean Mercedes MBUX has almost 10+ different choices of gauge clusters, but BMW only has one and its not even a good one!?! :

Has anyone tried to see if we could code reduced mode through BimmerCode or something?

I think it might depend on if the car is equipped with the Cooling and High Performance tire package but I could be wrong.

*Edit* After further inspection I believe I'm wrong about this lol

This is more a question than something I discovered, and I didn't want to start a completely new thread for this.

Has anyone noticed if the AC cuts out under acceleration when in sport+? Is this a thing? I noticed on Acura's website for the TLX (don't ask me why I was on Acura's website) it shows that under sport+ mode, the HVAC cuts off during acceleration, and I was wondering if this is a feature BMW employs as well.
