With die 03/2022.65-Update I can enable the WiFi hotspot with internet access but no device connected to the hotspot is getting a working internet connection (yes, an active internet plan is registered for the car's hotspot).

Has anyone in Belgium had any luck getting the update OTA?
I am still on the 11-21-60 update, and each time forcing a search for updates but nothing yet.... Perhaps the roll out was even further delayed in this "lovely" country?
Do not have the time for the moment to pass by dealer, so am really hoping for OTA :P

How do I get an internet connection? Devices can join the cars WiFi hotspot but there is but when I enter a web address on a connected device nothing happens. I was expecting to get redirected to a site where I could buy a data plan.

Any help would be appreciated.

Same here (wifi connected but no active internet) but I got my update at the dealer only today (like 1-2 hours ago).
AA didn't start either but I guess it needs some time? I saw some posts it van take 24 hours before some system is updated?

Quoting myself for a sec because AA is working perfectly now!
The wifi is indeed connected but without Internet because I probably didn't buy it or whatever (I do have the emergency call option so for sure there is a SIM somewhere)

I though that the first time you tried to access the internet using a device connected to the hotspot that you were directed to a website to purchase a data package, that doesn't seem to be happening for me.

They don't do specific releases notes like that.

There is nothing of note but CarPlay setup is tonnes faster in 22-07 compared to 22-03

Thank you for the info. I can confirm that CarPlay in 22-03 has massive delays from time to time.

I was informed that BMW has issued a recall for certain cars with BMW-OS 03/2022.52 and above (mine has 03/2022.65). There are certain WiFi-related issues. I can confirm that including CarPlay issues. The reliability isn't satisfying. I've to reboot the system every now and then. The measure is to reprogram the MGU with the new software. My iX3 also needs a software update for the airbag control unit.

12573665540, 65 12 9 437 389).

Tell me, please, can I buy this head unit and install it?

This thread is for people with December 2021->May 2022 cars with a different version of the MGU headunit.

As for your question, not without voiding the warranty and some major coding work. with a 2019, you might actually be better trading it in for one with it built in, as it will cost a few thousand
