Are there any way(s) to watch or listen to Youtube videos while driving? There are two things that I want to achieve:

1- Youtube video while driving (coding?)
2- Listen to songs on my Youtube playlist while driving without video (I know this can prob be done without coding, but does anyone know what mode I have to be in? Does the phone need to be plugged in?

Try to get paid membership for YouTube and you would have a right to "listen" the videos from youtube via CarPlay while driving. As for "watch" the videos, it should be achieved via decoding.

1. You may be able to use the BMW Apps web browser. Failing that an aftermarket kit which integrates into the current idrive system but gives you functionality of iPhone Mirroring, Android mirroring , CarPlay and android auto.

2. Plug your usb cable in and load the YouTube app and play your playlist

I listen to youtube playlists now just using bluetooth to send the audio through the cars speakers

Not sure about the US but its illegal in the UK to have videos etc playing that are visible to the driver whilst in motion.
