M340i 791m wheel/tire

Hi all,

Currently i have 19x8 791M with 225/40/19. I've been reading that it might not be the best setup for the m340i. I have an interest in the 795M FERRIC GREY(which tire/size would be best?), however my primary question is how much are my 791M's worth? They have 2000 miles on them and the michelin RFT.

If you're in NJ, you may want to consider keeping the 791m wheels for winter use. I got 791m wheels, on my m340i, that have all-season tires, and have decided to keep them as my winter set.

As for the 795m wheels (I'm also wanting to get a set for summer), I believe they only come in 20 x 8 and 20 x 8.5, same width and offsets as the 791m wheels. I think the standard tire size would be 225/35 and 255/30. I'm sure you could go a tiny bit wider on tire size.

Yeah, thats a better idea. or i can just get the tires for the summer and slap em on these wheels. However i do really like the 795m wheels as well. Maybe another wheel brand is the way to go for the summer, as the price on those is pretty steep.

Actually, correction - the 791m wheels that I have are 19 x 8, square. I want to get a wider rear wheel, so will want to go with a summer set.

The 795m wheels are a bit expensive, but I believe they're forged, so they should be light. As well, I like the brushed and matte combination on the spokes. Their only drawback is the offsets, so they would sit the same as the current wheels. I'd likely get spacers, if I got them. Otherwise, get aftermarket wheels with better offsets.

I actually just ordered some spacers. But i'm not sure which setup to go with. I was going to do 15mm in the front and 13mm in the back, but then i figured i should just do 13mm front and back.

From what I've read on here, from people who have installed spacers, those seem to be the correct sizes. I would put them on - 15mm in the front and 13mm in rear - see how they look. I think it'll look great.

I also have the 8" 791 m with puny 225's
I am doing a test fit on tue with 2 new - 8.5" 791 for the rear with 265 ps4s's and 245 on the stock front rims. This "should" work (with spacers needed possibly)
I could probably get 4 cheap aftermarket rims for the cost of the 2 rears but like keeping the stock look but beefier and no real options avail yet......
Stay tuned........

I thought NJ had some of the worst roads. 19 inch wheels in the winter?

Thats a fact, our roads are terrible. However, i been driving slammed cars since 2006. So having this stock height m340i, is actually a pleasure. I also don't drive my car during the week really, so it helps.

Spacers 15mm front / 13mm back:

I didn't mean in terms of comfort (I find the 19s perfectly stiff), but tire / wheel damage. hitting a pothole with 19s on RFT sounds terrible. have you had any tire issues in your cars? ever run tires with this little sidewall before?

PS the spacers look great

Looking at replacing my Current setup square 225/40/19 on 19x18 front and rear with:

8/32 rear tires 265/35/19
9/32 front tires 245/35/19

Replacement rims are: 19x9 front, 19x10 rear

Also what about bolt pattern alignment? Are they the same? Wheels I'm looking at are M 437 off a 2018 M2.

Any issues? Thx.

My car also came with the same wheel/tires.
I ordered two 19x8.5 791M rear wheels today, and plan to put on 255/35/19 Pirelli Cinturatos to match the ones in the front, for a staggered setup.

Decided to go with Michelin A/S 3+ instead of just changing the rear tires.

Bolt pattern is 5x112 on G20. The previous gens typically run 5x120 so doubt it will work. I found this problem out first hand from my previous set of AG rims I have for my 335i.
