Individual Java Green Metallic M340i Order
Hello all
I plan to finalize my order tomorrow on a MY2020 BMW M340i RWD. The build is as follows: - Individual Java Green Metallic Paint Job ($5k ) - Rims: I want the 795M Black style rims, but they come with a $5k premium. Does anyone think they're worth the money? They're absolutely beautiful, but idk about $5k beautiful. Right now, I'm optioned with the 791M Bi-color black rims at $600. (I've attached renders of both with the 795M and 791M style rims. Please let me know what you think) - Black Vernasca Leather (trying to decide wether to get blue M stitching or regular contrast stitching.. does anyone know if the contrast stitching will be java green matching the paint or something else? If the stitching is java green, I'd rather get that) - Aluminum Trim with mesh effect (wishing I could get carbon fiber but sadly it is not an option ) - Driving Assistance Package - Driving Assistance Professional Package - Executive Package - Premium Package - Adaptive M Suspension - Ambient Lighting - Front and Rear Heated Seats - Power Tailgate - Remote Engine Start - Wireless Charging and WiFi Hotspot - Harmon Kardon Surround Sound System * The following are all port/dealer-installed accessories that I have added to the build/order * - Black Kidney Grills - Carbon Fiber Front Splitter - Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser - Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler - Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps - M Performance Side Sill Decals - M Performance Rear Trim - M Performance Floor Mats - There is an M Performance Exhaust available, but I'm iffy on it. It's a $2k option. My local dealer said the exhaust note should be similar to a X3M40i with the M Performance exhaust. However, I thought about just doing a muffler delete once I get the car. Thoughts? Worth the 2k? Currently, I'm being quoted at about 75k out the door with tax, title, tag, and all other fees included. I'm getting about 5k or a 7% discount off MSRP. The numbers are looking at about $1300 a month finance for 60 months with 5k down. I believe it's roughly a 3 month or so time frame from time of order to the car being in my possession. Does this seem like a good deal or no? Thoughts, comments, opinions? P.S. - Also taking suggestions on vanity plate ideas 795M: 791M: Last edited by raj914; 10-09-2019 at 11:42 PM.. |

Wow, so your paying M car money for a faux M car? Pm me your address so I could ship you a Dunce cap because that is just a bad financial decision sorry but just being honest.

You'll definitely have a unique M340 that's for sure. If you're going to that extent you might as well just get the 795M rims at this point. Getting the regular 791M rims just seems odd with such a loud color like java green.
But you're in M3 territory with that pricing. |

Not everyone wants an M Car. Living in a city (as I do) an M car is just not something I want to deal with can't really wind it out, relatively uncomfortable ride, higher insurance, and on and on. An M340i is much easier to live with on a day to day basis. So what's wrong with blowing a little cash on something you like? At least $10k of the cost of that car is paint on port installed bling. So get a stripped down M Car or fully loaded & customized M340i... hmmm. Oh, that's right: personal preference and choice!

I wouldn't be spending $10k+ on paint and dealer installed accessories especially on a M lite car but maybe that's just me.

GL and report back when they car is actually in the system. I actually recommend leasing it unless you really want to keep it forever. But then everybody thinks that they will keep their car forever at this stage.
You can buy the M performance exhaust for $1400 and install it yourself...... along with all the port installed options.

There are some other items of note: I believe your brake calipers will be blue unless you add accessory brake calipers, which I don't think are available in the United States at this point. Also, be aware that we do not receive the ///M fender badge in our market. I think Java Green Metallic paint is an exciting choice. I'm looking forward to photos of the vehicle. Wow that is bold! Hey, if that's what makes you happy and you have the means go for it! For that money I'd go with something else but that's my opinion only. You will have an awesome car.

Not my color but looks good. Brave choice. Good for you 😉
An M3 is never an option for me because of the need to have AWD. So should i not invest in nice parts just because it isn't an M3... Don't know why people here tell you should not do that 🤔

75K is Porsche Cayman, 2021 M3 territory which btw, has an AWD option. You want to tactically position your purchase so your getting your moneys worth. But hey, I'm just a kid that owns investment property, what would I know.... |

I bought my M340i for 95k (Switzerland). An M3 will set me back another 20-25k... Maintenance/insurance/taxes are another 5k surplus per year... And an M3 with Xdrive... just isn't an M3 anymore...

Definitely go with the stock wheels and order the 795's separately. That way you can keep your original wheels for a second set or sell them afterwards. You can also get the 795's for low $4k, give or take after the fact, that's what I did.

Do NOT pay 5K for those wheels. The only real reason for black wheels on a car is that they do not require cleaning every 10 minutes to get the brake dust off. In the pics you showed, the bicolored wheels look the best, (to me), but if you have to go black, get the cheaper ones. Also, they will be easier to clean.

Personally, I hate black wheels. I’d go with 792s rather than 791s. In my opinion they look better.

Really want to see this color! Also, that's how I'd option one if money was not a concern. Though I would go with the cheapest stock wheels and buy a good aftermarket set in black (I would want to swap out stock run flat tires anyway).
And if you're looking to trade this car in after a few years, I might be interested! |

i just ordered a car with tanzanite blue . Yeah extra $1500 or whatever, but it was worth it. good for you man.
I also live in a huge city where a real M car would just have a brutal suspension. And well the grill on the G80 is terrible and its 2 years away... Have to say the worst commenters on these boards are always the pure M snobbery. I mean you buy the car that fits, and buy the paint. Java green on a g80 vs java green on a G20 , what is the difference, the man likes the color and its on the car that fits what he needs, why would spending extra on paint make any different if its the M3 or a m340i |

Hope he proves me wrong.
