M340i wind noise

Any M340 owners facing wind noise issues. I have started noticing it recently, with all windows rolled up I can hear wind noise when cruising at highway speed. Its getting really annoying now that I have started noticing it.

I hear it pretty regularly from my passenger side mirror, I wonder if the rubber seal was not attached properly

Mine is also dead quiet. I also have double-glazed windows option (available in EU) so it's even quieter. Just perfect for the highway.

Only time I hear any wind noise is when I'm hitting ~85mph (~135kph). But it's very minimal, and I can only hear it when I have no music.

Haven't bothered going to dealer, will wait until first oil change so they can update the software, do whatever recalls are necessary, etc.

I just turn the music up or drive with the windows down right now.

Im not sure if I'm right, but I think the double glaze glass is a standard feature on NA G20s. From what I have seen it seems to be the case, unless i'm missing something.

I though the “acoustic glass” was a standard feature for all markets...

So you drive around with the Windows down not to be bothered by wind noise? Curious about how that is going to work..

I'm not sure if it's a standard option in North America, but I know it's not available as an option in North America. Also, I think BMW
marketing in NA would point this out in it's list of standard equipment if it was the case.

It's easy to check if front glass is acoustically isolated. One just needs to drop the frond window half way down, to look at the glass edge. Acoustic glass clearly shows a middle layer in between innner and outer glass surface if you look at it's edge.

Can someone from NA check if their front windows have this sandwich-like structure to resolve this dillema?

Acoustic glass was a $600 option on our X5, so I can't imagine they'd just include it standard on a 3 series. It's also not an optional extra on the 3 series.

I suspect your are right. But I also don't think the G20 needs it...it's plenty quiet without it.

So, I was driving it last night, and above 75 I heard a bit of noise, then realized one of my windows was barely cracked. So just make sure you are double checking for that.
