How do I factor in the Destination and Handling costs in lease calculators?

First, a general question...how accurate is Leasehackr's lease calculator? Is it spot on or at least close to what the dealers come up with in terms of calculating the monthly payment?

Also, how do you factor in the $995 Destination and Handling when using the calculator? When you select BMW as the 'make', it automatically sets an 'acquisition fee' of $925. Should I enter the MSRP excluding the d+h and just adjust the acquisition fee to the correct $995, or should I enter the total MSRP including d+h and set the acquisition to 0?

It should be spot on. Destination should be included in the price of the car. Acquisition fee is separate, like a bank fee for originating the lease.

Enter the MSRP including D+H. Acquisition fee is separate and should be left as is at $925. These are two separate fees. D+H is the cost for the dealer to get delivery of the car, and acquisition fee is set by financial services to draft up the paperwork etc.

The Leasehackr calculator is relatively accurate. There can be fluctuation of $10-$15/month based on how the dealer is calculating payments, but anything over a $15/month discrepancy should be looked into. At that point either you've entered the numbers in incorrectly or the dealer is doing something incorrectly.

Like the others said. Leasehackr is pretty accurate depending on what you enter in it. In my case, it came down to the exact $$. I then played around with the discounts (by changing it on the calculator) to see if my dealer could match the monthly shown on the calculator and they did.
