My CA says that my delay is due to a large number of hybrid vehicles that are being processed at VPC, removing attention from completing my port accessories. This sounds very far-fetched, but my CA has been very helpful and trustworthy throughout the process thus far. |

Volans Leader docked in SoCal yesterday afternoon, 3-17-21. Dealer has not yet received an ETA and says they'll get it once the car is offloaded. That being said, according to the tracking thread info in the OP links the ships are notoriously slow to update systems so for example when the car is loaded and on the ship, the tracker doesn't actually reflect that until a day or two after the ship has already left port.
So I'm HOPING the same is true on the other end - my car is already offloaded and getting carbon fiber installed and will be on the way to the dealer by the time the dealer even gets the notification.

Update : Car is off the boat and dealer estimate has now been changed to Tuesday the 23rd.
 *sigh* really wanted it this weekend I took time off work to spend a few days familiarizing myself with it. Ah well...off to the golf course.

Glad that my new car made it from Baltimore to the dealer last night, and I'm hoping to pick it up tomorrow.
Question - the CA told me about an "All Surface Environmental Protection" that he says is endorsed by BMW. I hadn't heard about this on my last two cars or on my wife's. Anyone looked into this? I usually haven't bought this type of product on other cars but I just wanted to see if anyone thinks this is worth $799. Thanks |
