Now that I closed on my M440i XDrive Convertible, here was what I got:

Ordered early April 2022. Required $1000 deposit, no build date, and agreed to $3500 above MSRP.

Closed October 26th. I put another $5,000 down but financed the rest with BMW Financial Services at 4.59% at 60 months. Final price was MSRP+$3500 markup+$600 in document processing fees. I know when I register it at the DMV, I will have to pay the $3500 in excise taxes and $100 in registration

The way the markup was handled felt slick and was uncomfortable. Back in April, after deciding on the build, they had a few papers. One had the MSRP and all the details of the build and signing it was agreeing to what I wanted ordered, the other had a 'sale price' and a basic make/model info. They handed that over and said "and sign this one". I noticed the price was 'too much', and asked what signing this is agreeing, and they said just that I want that Make/model, but then I said, "Am I also agreeing to this price though" and they said "yes". So, then they came clean that they were including a 5,000 charge over MSRP since "new car inventory is so tight and we are in an inflationary environment" (which is true, I only could find 1 of these models in a five state region over a few month period to even test drive, but the dealer mostly sells X models that were decently well-stocked and the $ is also strong against the Euro which has actually had euro-imports deflationary in terms of the $). Anyways, I told them the 5,000 is ridiculous and I will be happy to go a few hours down the road to another dealer. The sales person was quite annoyed at the challenge, but the best I could get the manager to accept was 3500 over MSRP.

I am still annoyed about the markup, still think I should have just made a trip to Dallas to order one without a markup, especially since I didn't even get an allocation until July and that was after we started becoming rude. Online reviews suggests that they are hard on their markup with everyone and they are one of only two dealers in the entire state. I am quite confident they skipped over us on the allocations they got for at least one month so that the dealer could secure cars for their lot (they have a few 4 series cars built a full month and a half before mine was built, definitely would have been allocated between my order date where they promised I was first in line, and after I was actually allocated. Unless 4 series convertibles are allocated separate of other 4 series models? ). And my sales person was always difficult to reach and get responses, always providing hand-wavy responses of why they haven't gotten an allocation for us yet.

But, they didn't try anything funny at the end with any other dealer add-ons (well, except the doc fee, but that I knew was coming since April), interest rate adjustments, etc, and I was able to fly through the closing paperwork without any hard-sells. The MSRP isn't great, but the credit unions in town were at 5%, and online I couldn't find anything under 4.75%.

It was a frustrating process overall, but we really did want a car that is hard to come by around here in a color (aventurin red), trim (plain aluminum), interior (cognac leather), and options (no shadowline, otherwise pretty loaded with options) that no dealer seems to build for their own inventory. And now we have it, and it's awesome.

How much are you paying monthly/upfront lease for a new 430xi now?

I just got $1500 off with the navy federal bmw manufacturer incentive. I’m not sure if anyone has posted about this on here but you can get up to $2000 off some models. There’s a thread on the g80 forum on it but you can also Google search it and get a code to share with your dealer !

2024 M440 Convertible

I am waiting to get a production date on this one. Final pricing is about $78k. Planning to lease this one. Just wondering what kind of discounts folks are getting on this model

I just ordered a 2024 m440i convertible. Around $79,050. They had a 2023 on the lot and offered $500 below MSRP and I said I'll just order a new one ('24). They offered the same $500 under MSRP.

Going to lease so not sure of the residual or money factor (frankly, I know nothing about how leases work). So we'll see what final cost will be!

I just ordered a 2024 M440ix GC with pretty much every option other than 5G and laser headlights. Got it for $1500 under MSRP.

Congrats. This is what I want to go for as well. How did you get the dealer to go below MSRP when ordering the car? Around here (Philly) cars ordered are pretty much MSRP or above.

The local dealer charges MSRP if you order a car. I got a discount for repeat customer.

If the car is on the showroom, for example they are getting an M2, it is highest bid.

I called around to several dealers, and found one that had an allocation slot for a M440i xDrive GC the following week. Surprisingly they also gave me $1500 off MSRP, and I didn't even ask for it. Needless to say, I took the deal immediately.

I am on my third BMW from the same dealership. I have owned an 18 X3M40I and currently driving a 21 X5 M40 Xdrive. I really wanted to go back to a coupe this time around, so ordered an M440 Xdrive

My best advice is do your homework. Here are some tips I have learned.
- True 'M' series cars, most dealers will charge a markup
- Money Lease factors, use Edmunds to find out current Money Factor rates, this is a significant way to save money
- BMW will provide a base money factor to dealerships and the dealership can mark up to .00040 additional. I had my dealer remove that markup
- i.e. Base Money Factor is .00165 April when I purchased, but dealer was quoting .00205. That is a 3.96% Interest rate vs 4.92%
- Shop two different dealerships and use them to compete against each other

With increased interest rates and dealers not wanting to budge it is extremely difficult but not impossible to get a passable deal. I brought my lease monthly rate down by $70/mo

I basically got 3K off MSRP + 500 lease credit and Base Money factor thanks to a competitive bid on an M440I Xdrive with pretty much every option outside of laser lights and carbon mirrors, and tire cooling package.

Part of the 3K savings was a loyalty credit of about 1200 I think the rest I negotiated.

I was also seriously considering and S5 Prestige. Audi leasing has a higher residual 61% on 12k/36, but their money factor is higher.

This deal still sucks in comparison when I leased my current 21X5, had about 13k+ off with price negotiating and lease promotions. Purchased that in October of 2020 and money factors were much better. I am actually paying about $130 more for lease on a 73k M440i vs 77K X5 which sucks.

The one positive is that I will probably buy out my X5 Lease and sell it as my buyout is currently 8k below what a dealership would offer me for it if I did.

P.s. For those in Canada, the price for the 2024 M440i has jumped up about $3800. I purchased my car about 4-5 weeks ago, and my same spec right now costs about $4100 more.
