Sat at home on the drive feeling sorry for itself 😭 having had the n/s/r tyre replaced this morning, while I'm out in the wife's E93.

Had this about a week, gone from a 330D Tourer, first saloon I've ever owned.

Looks nice. Are you missing the Tourer part yet? I went from a Golf GTI to the 330e saloon and do miss having a boot you can chuck most things in although just use the wife's car for that now!

I've got a loan 520d Tourer at the moment and do like the opening rear window and electric cover for popping bits of shopping in etc.

I was going to ask the same. I just prefer the styling of a tourer. Made an exception for the 911 but otherwise always gone for the tourer.

To be honest I'm pleasantly surprised how big the boot is , but agree with others that the tourer looks lovely. That opening glass window on the tailgate is a brilliant bit of kit, but after so many diesel estates including my last couple of 330d Tourers am really pleased with the Car. Although I do miss the rear wiper

Diesel became so ubiquitous - when my 330i arrives on Monday it will be the first petrol I’ve had since my 944S2

Agreed, just reminiscing and 2 Focus,1 Volvo,2 Golf and 2 F31 all diesel estates in that order. I know lockdowns have restricted driving but I've realised I don't do enough miles now to warrant diesel anymore.

As a company car driver, I've not run a diesel since 2014. And this 520d loaner has reminded me that I really don't like 4 cylinder diesels. Couldn't live with one of these on a daily basis! (Apologies to all you 320d owners!).

Surprised you say that, Jim. The N47 diesel in the F30/1 320d is f*cking noisy and in the dreadfully unrefined F30/1 it’s an awful combination. However, the 520d you’re in has the much better B47 (as do later 3 series) and in the G series it’s hardly noticeable as a diesel, at least from the inside. I’d have been happy going for a 320d until I found I could get a 330i for the same price which was a no-brainer.

Haven't made a single Mod yet sans removing the rear "wing" which will be replaced by the recently released M wing.
Ordered front Splitter from AAConcepts...still hasn't arrived months later...still pondering exhaust mod.

I do too. I like Alpine and have had two in that color as well, but the mineral pops with the right lighting...

Hello chaps!
BMW M340i. I've owned this car since September and reaching almost 5k miles I have come to the conclusion that this is the most complete car I've owned. I drive the car just for the joy and love and have loved every mile.

Some modifications. The car arrived with shadow line included and I thought that black wheels on a black car was, for me, too much so I replaced the wheels with a set of BBS CC-Rs and Michelin sport NRF tyres. Spacers, front 15mm and 12mm rear, yes, that way around as the wheels were tucked in a way! Lastly AC Schnitzer springs, less aggressive than Eibach but look, to me, just right. The X-Drive is very high on standard springs, not sure why, snow chains?

The ride is still plush, less floaty and grip, perhaps because of a combination of tyres and springs, is improved. Interestingly the changes incurred no increase to cost with insurance, this was with Aviva, not sure why but I’m not complaining!

What size tips did you order? As in diameter... I ordered some with ±70mm inside diameterand it looks huge... my 330e arrives 5th so can't see it yet...

When I ordered it said it *should* be compatible.. cheers

PS: I ordered the complete tip, not just a carbon shroud

And I have the front spoiler too, how did you line it up and get the screws in the right place, cheers...

Same and also complete tip
There are some retaining bolts that you should be able to remove already underneath and reuse with new splitter, plus good old 3M tape and self tappers

Are they supposed to sit that far out compared to standard or can you adjust that?

They are 120mm and bolt is right at back so place where you like, there is a metal peg on the exhaust itself which is the stop when original fitted, I pushed new to that, but it could be cut off to slide further back
But I like them slightly proud
