Key fob motion sensor
Hi
Does anyone know if the G20 key fob contains a motion sensor that disables the fob sending unlock signals if no movement detected for x minutes? Seems other models have the feature, but can't see anything confirming it on the G20. Don't really wanna faff about with faraday pouches etc. but maybe something I may consider. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Tam. I had seen those in my research, but was hoping for something more definite from BMW to confirm it. I am surprised BMW are not boasting about it more if their keys are protected in this way?

This is what you find if you search BMW online Genius. I don't have comfort access but I till keep my keys in a faraday case.
At Home. Keep keys out of view when at home. BMW’s keyless entry system, Comfort access, works by the vehicle sensing key proximity. Customers should consider extra precautions, ideally keeping them at least 2 metres away from any windows or doors. |

I put my wheelie bin about a meter from the car and time how long after movement I could unlock the drivers door. I put the keys on top of the bin so it was close to the drivers door handle. We keep the car keys in a drawer away from the front door, but good to know after 3 minutes it can’t be used by one of those relay attacks. |
