radio presents not storing
Anyone ever experience their stored radio presents not storing after the car has been shut off? We stored 6-7 radio stations a few times now and we’re able to cycle through them fine after they’ve been stored.
However, once the car is shut off and turned back on I’ve noticed that they aren’t stored any longer. Anyone have this issue before or may know how to resolve it? Seems like storing stations shouldn’t be a big issue…

I've had a lot of problems with this. So I need to ask. Are you talking about the presets on the radio down near the bottom. Or are you talking about the presets in the electronic system. The presets in the electronic system are the only ones I'm able to get to work. I have no idea what the presets in the manual section down below represent or how they can be configured. I wish that I did.

The presets you are calling “radio buttons” are more like Windows shortcuts than presets. You can use them to access various functions without going through all the menus.
For example, I have the first button set to recall the list of station favorites I have saved for Sirius XM. I press the button once and it switches to Sirius and I get a list of radio stations. I have another button set up to switch to navigation, with a default destination of home. |

Thank you for this post. It helped me to finally figure it out. Finally I can go to my presets for the radio faster. Whether it's satellite or local.

Thank you for the responses. Issue seem to be more with switching around the stores radio stations using the steering wheel controls. Just have to get use to them and the new idrive system.

I first use a “radio button” to switch to my short list of favorite stations, and that list is what is displayed on the iDrive screen (I only set up 5 or 6, but maybe the list can be longer).
Then I can turn the thumb wheel on the steering wheel controls and it just cycles through the short list of presets. Press down on the thumb wheel to pick a station. |
