Of course I have all kinds of faults now.

I went on their homepage and read that it’s easy to restore and that automatic backups are always made.

So, how do I go about restoring my BDC module?

I’m using BU on my iPhone so you know how to instruct me 🫣
VO Coding BDC should not cause any issue so long as FA was not modified. You likely just need to clear faults and restart car. If you still have issues, write BU Support on their website.

Supported OBD2 Connectors?

Sorry if this has been asked somewhere before but I wasn't finding anything in search... Is the BimmerUtility OBd2 connector the only one that's compatible with iPhone and android? I have the OBDLink CX that I use with bimmercode. Will this work? The website says
"In order to link your vehicle using BimmerUtility, you will need to use one of the OBD adapters that we support. Please note that we only offer assistance for ENET cables or ENET Wi-Fi adapters"

But there is no list of the OBD adapters...

No, You need an ENET WiFi Adapter. OBDLink® CX is a Bluetooth Adapter, not WiFi.

Install new KOMBI, add 6WA or 6WB accordingly to FA, and VO Code KOMBI / DKOMBI and Head Unit. BU not needed for VO Coding, only FDL Coding.

Sorry, last question, when you say you don't need BU, does that mean it's possible with bimmercode?

No idea on Bimmercode. I don't use it. I mean just VO Code it with E-Sys and PSdZData Lite.

Sorry, just getting started here so total noob questions.

Tried tonight to make a few changes. The youtube video for BU shows opening esys, but this is no longer required, correct?

Is there a better way to track what cafd you made changes too? I'm doing the cheat codes now and keeping manual notes, but without the ability to quickly copy the cafd I am editing this is immensly tedious.

Still lots of questions and I very much feel like I'm going about this the wrong way so I apologize now for what will likely be a lot of questions

You can use BU AS A Standalone Coding App, or as an Add-In for E-Sys.

You need to manually keep track of what you code.

Thank you

More questions for the group.

If I read the cheat codes or cheet sheets correctly, a modification that requires changes in multiple areas has all changes together in the same section of the cheat. Having never used previous launchers I don't know if applying a "cheat" did all the changes at once but I'm assuming so.
Meanwhile BU seems to require that you apply each section of the cheat to each ecu independent. Is there any way to easily see what other ecus I should be updating if I want to apply a cheat? I feel like for any cheat I have to jump on the internet to find a forum post in order to find what all ecus I should be updating. Even reading the cheat off github doesn't help as I don't see the ecu name listed.

Hi Davg31 ,

I see you are from Belgium like me (I'm from Flanders tho but english/french shouldn't be a problem).
I have a BMW i4 eDrive40 with steering assistant, lane assistant and dynamic cruise control. I would like to enable lane assistant aswell.
Is there any way you can help me out with that as you have all the tools needed to do this?
I just made my account on this forum so I can't yet DM you.

Sincerely,
Nic
