I’m using the MyBMW app with my 2021 G22 430i. All the app’s functions work (lock, unlock, flash headlights) and data comes from the car back to the app (fuel level, tyre pressures, lock status) except Send Destination to Car doesn’t. The app says it has been sent but it doesn’t appear in messages or in navigation. I’ve tried deleting and re-installing the app (I’m using it on an iPhone) but it still doesn’t work.
How do I get it to work?
It worked fine on my previous car, 2018 420d gran coupe using the same phone.

9/10 when I send a destination to the car using the app, it will instantly show on the screen and ask me to accept destination.
The other time it doesn't work, I find that you have to go into the MyBMW app in idrive and go into received destinations. Then it pops up. Try and see if the destination you're sending is in there.
If it is, then it's being received by the car fine.
Have you tried an idrive reboot?

The destinations don’t appear in received destinations in idrive either. Tried an idrive reboot but still no destinations are arriving.

You have to perform an idrive reset. I've encountered the exact same problem before and called BMW assistance for help. They guided me how to perform an idrive reset and that fixed my problem. I don't remember the specific steps anymore but you can go to your car settings and call the tech support from your car. They will guide you how to do that once you mention the issues.

I contacted connected drive support and explained the problem, they’ve logged it with tech support and given me a ref number. I’ll post what they come back with.

So do you have an empty "My BMW" folder under the "Received Destinations" menu or is that also missing?
Are you logged in to your profile in the car and connected to your BMW account?
I read other types of strangeness has been resolved by disconnecting/reconnecting the car from your BMW account.

Unrelated but maybe it is. I noticed yesterday that I wasn't getting my electric points for charging or the km's I'm driving electric.
Contacted support via email and they've replied this am that there are some bugs with connected drive being worked on. So if your issue is recent, it could be related

Tried removing the car from the app (as per G22b58) and deleted the app as well. Reinstalled it (new version, now 2.5.0) and added the car. Everything works except Send Destination to Car. It says it’s sent but nothing in messages, MyBMW or received destinations in navigation.

Have you created also the Driver profile in the car? If not it will not send you the destinations from app to car. Simple as that

To be clear, it wasn't the phone app I suggested to disconnect but your connection in the car to your account (your profile as the Genius says).

Deleted my profile in the car, recreated it and linked it to my connecteddrive profile. Destinations are now arriving!
