2019 G20 330i exhaust sound in Australia

I've seen on a few threads that the exhaust sound is coded to either EU or NA regulations. Does anybody know what the AU version is coded to?

I've also heard that the earlier 2019 versions (mine was produced in Feb 2019) had a more aggressive exhaust - more pops, but was coded out in later editions. Is this true??

Not complaining at all as I love the sound of this thing in Sports plus, but thought I'd ask because no matter how I drive the car, I can't seem to replicate this kind of response from the exhaust, it just sounds insane...

You won't get this sound from a stock 330i regardless if it's EU or NA. Maybe it has the M performance exhaust? From an M340i that's prior to 2021 you can though since the 2021s have toned the exhaust down from what I've read here.

The car in the video has the stock exhaust. I agree it does sound louder than it is. Probably because of the placement of the microphone? My car pops and crackles too. But it isn’t as loud as in the video. But not bad at all. In fact, it pops and crackles more than 2021 M340is I’ll make a video one day but I guess there are many G20 330i exhaust videos on YouTube already.

Yeah I just read in the description that he mounted his mic on the back of the car near the exhausts. He's also throwing it into neutral and revving up to that sweet spot over and over too.
I'm definitely happy with the sounds my 30i is putting out, I was more just curious of what variant the AU model is based on (EU or NA).
I'll have to ask when it goes in for a service on Tuesday

I'll be interested to hear your answer. My Jan 2020 build 330i in Melbourne only makes aggressive pops & crackles in sports plus mode, but nowhere near as much as in the video.

Despite the mic placement it still sounds a bit synthesised.
