So my BMW app has suddenly stopped updating anything despite it saying it has updated from my car every time i open the app.

I am not sure if it coincides with me coding the car with Bimmercode

Any ideas what to do?

I don't want to reset the car as i can't remember all the settings.

I'd rather let it be.

* remote anything doesn't work too

Was fine before I connected OBD things to it, but not sure if it has anything to do with this

i did code a few things here and there nothing major. funnily it just updated yesterday. it's also done that before i coded anything or plugged any obd but this was the longest it went awol. just under 2 months of no updates lol.

let's see what happens from here. i thought maybe there's something you can do to make up with my app.

Does the car have decent cell coverage where you park?
It is my understanding that the app only queries the server about the latest update from the car. I had a few occasions where the the wrong status weren't updated although I could get commands through to the car, but mostly the trick to force an update from the car is to send a command (lights, horn) to the car.

Perhaps your car has an intermittent failure in cellular connection that needs a repair.

Hmm, there is cellular connection but it's not the best. It's in my garage.

I'll see if I can remote it when I'm out and about.

Try removing the car from the app and then re adding it

Make sure you are using the right / current one.

So my remote services stopped working today as well, no coding, however I noticed inside the bmw shop that I can purcha bmw Connected booster package, which say:
Remote Services

Always keep tabs on your BMW's surroundings. Remote Services and Remote 3D View allow you to use the My BMW app to view your vehicle’s surroundings from any angle, lock doors, or trigger the headlight flasher.

Remote 3D View is only available with 5DN Parking Assistant Plus

So maybe bmw paywalled those features?

These functions are subscription based. Normally prepaid with a new car for about 3 years, then we have to sign up for a subscription.

Yeah but I've had mine for a year and a half only.

@FrostNixon. Strange, the "Booster Package" is shown as available also for my car (and expensive). It says what is shown is individual, but I think someone messed up that functionality. It shows what I already have (and valid 2 more years).
However, my remote services still work so I suspect your "disconnect" is due to something else.

Yeah I saw the application got updated recently, which more often than not breaks something, so I will wait for a week or so before I take any measures.

i had the same problem. Reboot iDrive by holding the on/off button for 30 seconds.
