I am looking at new RWD 6 speed manual and have looked nationwide but none are white exterior with black interior that include the Executive Package. I have reached out to local dealerships to find out if there's any chance of ordering a 2018 still.

Right there with you. Executive package is rarely chosen by dealers, that and the Track Package. Very disappointing. These Dealers need to learn how to spec better and more varied vehicles.

PS. A dealer just told me today that BMW just announced that the G20 M340 will eventually have a manual option, most likely in 2020. Not sure of his source, but I sure hope it's true!

One thing I've learned is to NEVER trust anything a dealer tells me. Especially if that thing seems too good to be true.

You should put together a list of your priorities and see which comes out on top, like the following:
Power, G20 M340i
Immediate deal: F30
Resale value/Leasing: G20
Reliability: F30 (I avoid first year models)
Gadgets: G20
Newness novelty: G20
Looks: F30 m-sport
Interior: G20
Handling: G20
Seats: G20
Packaged track features: G20 M340i (diff, mppsk, rotors etc)

Some of the improvements are slight incrementals over the F30 tho not drastic

Well, this is some S&^T. A potential possibility of a manual...this sounds like a random Audi A4 manual option they threw in for 1-2 years in 2017-2018 and then went to Auto only. ehh

It would be amazing if they brought the manual to the M340i. If the dynamics of the car are improved and they coupled it with a manual, I'd be in love. How did the dealer find out about this?

I'm not sure but I'll ask his source. Not sure why he would make it up since he's trying to sell me a 2018 340 Msport, but some people just want to sound smart, epecially dealers and we all know rarely that holds true.

It looks like no dealership really got back to me about ordering. I can tell already that BMW also doesn't have great customer service from dealerships as I connected with a few in different states and they're pressing leftover inventory. They also can't locate a spec'd one the way I want. It is what is sadly. I have some time to think about until spring time if I'm giving up on manual trans and choosing an auto or going with a completely different car. Even though my RSX TYPE S isn't fast, I did have some fun driving it like I stole it rowing the gears and it's hard to comprehend possibly going away from the fun and engagement of stick shift. I'm also breaking 170K miles this week in it. Have a great weekend! Maybe if anyone has a great BMW sales guy they can recommend me to obtain some details I'm looking for that'd be great also!

@Score04. For some reason, you can't receive PMs. Any interest in taking over the lease on a 2017 which matches your description? It's in Cleveland, Ohio area. Too many vehicles in the household. Maybe you can resolve the PM situation and we can discuss more, if you have any interest.

What are your specs? I just found a number of white 6MT RWD 340i with black interiors.

Hey, I just faced the exact same dilemma. So I can tell you what I came up with. I think you will regret rear wheel drive in the snow. I live in the snow belt and as good as their traction control is and a good set of 17" (unless you have M brakes and then it's 18") high profile rubbers can be, that back end is still going to swing out on you. A lot. Especially in a 340. That first thing is what made me rule out the M2.

So I took a look at the M240, the 340i and the possibility for a G20. Ruled out the M240 for lack of tech (but holy god is it ever fun to drive. Nimble, agile and fast as hell) and stale-dated looks.

The 340i M Performance had the appeal of the look I've fallen in love with and the madness of 355 horsepower on an all wheel drive, along with every single option box checked off. That ceramic coated exhaust burps and farts are just glorious.

Then I looked into the G20. To me it looks like a Lexus. I'm not crazy about it and will take some time to get used to. The nose clip is fab, the centre stack is just fantastic, the instrument cluster is not really true BMW if you're a huge fan. The M Performance is going to be a ridiculous 380+ horsepower. It's going to have a more rigid chassis. It's also going to be the first MY and I think it's going to be glitchy.

For me I finally opted on having the final MY of the F30 in all it's burping and farting glory and the familiar lines I just love. If you can find one dealers are getting very eager to sell them and are getting very aggressive on price points to move them before the G20s come out (for obvious reasons).

Thanks. My dad had rwd g35 could 6 speed and it did well with singer tires. That combination works well in Chicago. Can anyone recommend a good chicago dealership or nationwide that will speak to an enthusiast of cars or bmws rather than focused on selling whatever in their lot?

Cool! Hey, whatever works for you. I tried the 323 as a RWD and it was snaky on a winter road.

I just tripped across a video for the G20 330 which gives some good detail that you might like. Those laser lights are pretty wicked awesome.
