2020 BMW 330i xDrive - help me choose interior colors

I'm going to be custom-building a 2020 BMW 330i xDrive w/ M Sport Package. Interestingly, they're switching to the 2020 model in the next few weeks, so it'll be one of the first ones off the line for the US!

For exterior, I'm going with the Portimao Blue.

Really torn on the interior. I'd like a wood trim with either the Black Leather or the Mocha Leather. Sort of leaning towards the Mocha leather because it seems a bit more unique and upscale, but not sure which wood trim would look best with this. I actually love the Cognac, but absolutely hate it on the lower dash (I think it looks cheap), so I don't think that's an option.

There aren't any of these color combos at any of the local dealers, so I can't see how they look in person. Any opinions on which of the 3 color combos below is your favorite? And, more importantly, if anyone has any of these combos, could you post photos and/or your review of how they look. I like the Mocha / Maple Wood Trim combo, but worried it might clash in person.

Thanks in advance!

I think colors and interiors are purely subjective, so you should see them in real life at your local dealer and decide for yourself.

That's the issue though....they don't have any of these color combos in stock!

Mocha with Oak wood definitely. Seen that combination a few times now and looks very good. That was my choice before I moved to Merino black with Oak wood.

They should have samples then.

Are you really in a geographic location that doesn't have more than one dealer, that perhaps may have these interior options? Some of the interiors are shared across models, so you could even look at a different vehicle but with the interior options or colors you are considering.

2 local dealers. I did see the black and maple wood in person. All the mocha cars in the area here have an aluminum trim unfortunately though. I know the oak grain would look fine with the Mocha (contrasting colors), but worried the Maple might clash a bit because it's an off-color brown.

Agree...personally wouldn't consider anything darker than Canberra.

If you're sold on the mocha leather my suggestion would be to go with one of the aluminum trims as I think they match more effectively.

Mocha goes really well with aluminium trim or dark/black wood.

But what is important: can you order the individual leather dashboard in US ? If so, you can just order the cognac leather since the lower part of the dashboard will then be black.

its tough, for me the interiors never look the same in pictures as they do in person. Most of the time it will look one way and in person will look a lot different. Im sure someone has suggested but if not, def try and see a few combos in person if you can before you make your selections.

Don't know about the second part! I actually just emailed BMW Genius's to see if this is even possible. Don't want to pay crazy extra for it though, so we'll see.

I think I'm otherwise leaning towards the Mocha w/ the Oak Grain wood. Thanks for the tips!

It was €1200 here. So it will be around $800 there with less taxes.

I went with the black with the M stripes and Blue stitching. Wood inserts was the matt Oak dark. FYI the Blue stitch seats are the only interior with the extra M logo on them.

This is my favourite 330i xDrive interior design. Of course, with a navigation system
