The exterior color palette sounds interesting but the interior sounds terrible. Essentially black seems like the only option. No brown or silver/grey? Maybe there will be individual options.

If black is the only option, I will go to another manufacturer. I know most people won't agree with me, but a black interior is booooooooring and just not for me....

When the new M3 becomes available, there will be many supporters and perhaps just as many detractors. Delaying my thoughts until a test drive.

First impressions seem to sound slightly less farty than the F80

Does the M3 in the latest video at 1:18 sound like a manual gearbox? The shift sounds different to the other cars.

I had the pleasure of following a space grey E60 M5 last Saturday through the city. It looked fully stock except for some type of aggressive full exhaust system. Unbelievable sound, what an awesome car that is and how cool it was by BMW to make such an exotic mid size sedan. Gave me goose bumps.

I'm not against the grille design..but the placement of the front License plate interferes with it. American plate is different size..that ll look weird in States where it's required.
It kind of defeats the purpose...let's see how it looks on production model

No different than the Audi, Lexus, etc. cars on that market. None of them look good with a front plate.

19s up front look comical on such a big car, and when you add 4" of fender gap it turns to sad 🤡

Wonderful noise from the LFA, made the 911 and M3 sound awful had to stop watching it just a load of farts and droning noise.

A combination of the huge lumbering beast and uninspiring engine notes is making me seriously consider trying an Audi RS3. It may understeer, have no steering feel, but every review comments on how good the 5-cyl engine sounds! (Plus it still has a DCT.)

It's a very important car for BMW and my decision hangs in the balance due to key factors like the grill, the exhaust notes and the general aggression of the car

It need to look a lot different from M340 but without a massive grille. There is obviously an argument for it to have a different grill but the car should never become known for its grille. That's the line bmw can't breach

The exhaust notes need to be deep, powerful, the dB is another matter and will vary in different countries. The EU is such an anti motoring organisation that it continues to frustrate at every level any passion one may for cars.

The body panels need flare, definition and width. I hope bmw doesn't mess up, it's a car I want but there's limits on upsetting a recipe!

Rant over chaps!!

The worse part was that you could still hear the LFA in the distance continuing to make wonderful noises. Like a ghost whispering remember when BMW made awesome sounding cars.

I miss the day of BMW making some cool and unique M engines with high redlines, even if they were a bit unreliable in the long run

So it took Lexus to offer a half million dollar vehicle to get that exhaust note sonorous enough to make Bimmerphiles cream their internet shorts.

Yes, except it was originally $375k! To quote Jeremy Clarkson when talking about the RC-F, "The LFA is so good, that not even the people who made it, know how to make it again."

You have to admit, the V10 exhaust note is glorious.
