I like it! Much slimmer and less Audi-like than the renderings. Good throwback to the old days with huge vertical grills while still looking modern. Also, the rear tail lights that I hate on the G20 somehow look proper in the leaked rear end photos of that red G80 because of the big fender flares. I can't judge fully until I see the car in its entirety, but so far things are looking promising.

Aha, so it seems that design is now being compared based on dimensions before taste

Awful.

And the HOOD LINE comes back.

It’s just an Audi Grille split in the middle with that horizontal slats....

First the upside-down kidney of the X2...and then this monstrosity.... what a disaster!

We need Alpina in the US stat! This new grill is incredibly distasteful. I actually didn't mind the renders, but this production form has lost all of the sharper angles/creases, and just looks awful!

Interesting thought experiment for if that happens, this might be the first generation M3/M4 where people do 3-series front-end conversions instead of 3-series drivers doing M3 front-end conversions

I have a question for those looking at getting an M3/4. Is the manual going to be enough to justify the looks?

So you're going to buy a boat because you don't like the grille? It's clear most people here don't really care about driving. Just the M badge.

Did they get tired with kidneys and decided to go with lungs??????

Or is this a symbol of the brand dying because it looks like a coffin.

Found it.
As controversial as this is, these grills look so much better because they are sharp and angular like the rest of the G20's design so they fit better. I actually now would prefer the car to look like the renders compared to the more soft and rounded corners of the leaked grill
