Yes I can see that - the front is darn near flush and the rear does "poke" a bit but this where it just comes down to personal preference I suppose

The assembly was optimal? Sorry, not sure I understand the question. I bolted the wheels on myself. They fit just fine. Friction on the front axle?? Sorry, I don't understand that concern either. For wheel fitment, I followed aggressive street specs from Apex wheels. I went with a tire choice that was of my own -- went with the 40 profile front and i haven't had any rubbing, outside of an occasional little rub when in comfort setting on freeway, hitting a big dip at speed (because I am lowered on Dinan springs). That's only happened a couple of times. Overall fitment seems pretty good. I may go to a 35 profile front, on the next set of tires. I am RWD. No spacers needed or used.

My question is, if the front wheels are close to the shock strut. In my case I have adaptive, the strut is thicker. Does your vehicle have adaptive damping? Thank you. |

I have adaptive and they fit fine without rubbing. Plenty of room.

My setup
Concaver CVR5 Front 19x9 Et32 Platinum Black Rear 20x10.5 Et43 Platinum Black Tire Pirelli P-Zero PZ4* Front 245/40r19 Rear 285/30r20 The rear has no problem, but the front tire rubs the suspension "disc" (rightside more then the leftside). Solution i made, was bend a little the disc and lower the wheelhub for just a few mm and the problem was solve. I also tried the Michelin PS4S. I didn't love the stretch and it hasn't got the * (BMW only symbol). So I purchase the PZ4. But they make this type of tire for different car brands. For example, they have the PZ4* and the PZ4 L* (L= Lexus). The first one is a little stretched (i think it is use on a mini) the second one (L*) not and that looks nice in my case. PZ4 * PZ4 L* |

No other friction at all. I am affraid the wheel will stick out of the fender with lower offset. And i do not like that. 235/40r19 and 275/30r20 are the most safe decision in this case.

Tire 245/40 r19, has an external diameter of 678.6mm. Tire 245/35 r19, external diameter 654.1. Perhaps this is the cause of rubbing with the shock absorber disc.
