Got a bit of a shock last night when doing the map update. I locked the car with the engine running and the horn sounded twice!

My wife’s 118i does the same thing and sure it didn’t do this the last time I did the update. It seems that this has started after the update to 2020/07 software.

Anyone else noticed this?

Yep.... and embarrassing... sometimes get out too quick at the cafe on beer purchase patrol... and in Auto Start/Stop Mode you forget... beep beep and lights... doofus badge issued

Same here. Very unnecessary in my opinion.

I switched it off using BimmerCode

I took a test drive in a 330e today and was quite surprised when it 'beeped' (not the horn) when locking/unlocking

Option to turn beeps on or off in menu in the G20 wasn't available in my last F31 had to code it in.
