Front Camera question
Hello, new BMW 330i 2019 owner here.
I have an M sport with tech plus pack, just trying to understand something regarding the front and rear camera I have. The reverse camera works when changing to reverse as expected. What I do not understand is why I have the front camera. It switches on itself when I start the engine and announces itself that it is recording As far as I am aware I do not have the 360 view feature, I do not have cameras on my wing mirrors, and the drive app for recorded footage does not exist in my installed apps in the car. Can anyone shed some light as to why I have the front camera and what it's purpose may be? I'm trying to contact my dealership but they're extremely busy and the specific person who sold me the car isn't available today. Connected drive customer service do not know the answer but have informed me that my model is not compatible with dthe drive recording app, I've confirmed this checking online. Appreciate your thoughts, I've only owned the car 2 days. Best A |

Is your front camera near the front grill (in between the two "kidneys") or is it behind the rear view mirror?
Almost every car has the camera behind the rear view mirror. That I believe is used for road sign recognition and other safety features. If you have a camera between the grills but don't have 360° view or cameras under the wing mirrors, that is extremely weird!
