So you know how full M cars have a Sport+ mode? Alpina cars have a Comfort+ mode. Think of it as a handsome autobahn cruiser that pampers you as you drive. But when you put your foot down, it moves like a M car, in a straight line of course.

This is probably the closest thing to a M4 GC that we're gonna get unless they release the M4 GC, and for that reason, I am in love
In my previous experience with Alpina, the B6 did not have premium materials over the M6, they felt very similar but tuning the base engine does nothing for the turbo lag, its comfy alright I'll give you that! Alpina in my mind works for the BMW SUVs, or luxury saloons, not the pure bred sports sedans so 5 series, 3/4 might work, but 6 series and 8 series might be stretching it a bit

Right, but what i'm alluding to is that the car's ethos is different, hence the Comfort+.

Why does this kidney triggers me every time I see it, I don't know.
They all tell you how it looks nicer in person. Not in Europe with the licenses plate stuck in its massive teeth. Please dont lie. I like Alpinas and I think their cars strike a better balance between M cars and the soft M cars from BMW. The interviewer asked about the look of the car and clearly Alpina is aware and couldnt do much to it exterior wise hence they went with this diplomatic answer. I have a hope they tried though.
