Some questions about the iDrive 7
I recently purchased a 2019 G20. And everything was great, except I just noticed my iDrive version is still on 11/2019. So I tried to upgrade using the iDrive, but it kept saying searching for new updates for days. Then I tried to reset the system and searched again. And not it gives me "remote software upgrade is not possible. The function will be available soon" message. And after the reset, my ParkMobile app is gone from the iDrive system as well. Can anyone help me with getting the ParkMobile back and also fixing the remote software upgrade function? What is happening...
Thanks so much in advance!!! |

There is no way to force the update. You just need to wait until your vehicle comes up in the unknown algorithm that BMW uses to choose what vehicle get the OTA update.
Go to the Apps and when on Installed Apps (hit the left side of the controller) hit the Option button and choose Update Apps and Services. That will hopefully bring it back for you. After all is done you may want to reboot iDrive (push and hold the volume button for about 30 seconds) just to make sure all is starting fresh.
