Yay or Nay - grill inserts and a question

Hi all - came across these m-color grill inserts for my M340iX and wanted to hear thoughts on whether or not to keep them. I don't love them, but I also don't hate them.

Other question - want to change the OEM spoiler to something more along the lines of a CS style spoiler. But, the car is black sapphire metallic with no other carbon fiber. Should I look to color match a new spoiler or would the CF look ok?

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Great feedback and I kind of have the same opinion. I like a little pop of color up front, especially in "M" colors, but quality is definitely poor. Also worth noting, I ditched the rear XDrive badge and swapped the M340i badge for black where the M colors are all you can easily see from afar.

Any thoughts on CF spoiler on Black Sapphire Metallic or go with paint matching?

Personally do not care for the M color grille additions on any car. Not my idea of a tasteful addon.

I went CF spoiler to match the CF diffuser and love it. I don't think you can go wrong either way with the BSM, just depends on whether you have all the other CF additions or not in my opinion.

For my Black Sapphire Metallic I go for full black instead of Carbon Fiber because everything is already in black but if you already have CF Diffuser etc might as well make it flush. Cheers

I personally do not like the inserts on any BMW as the look has been so massively over played by every high school kid who gets a 15 year old 3 or 5 series and slap on the M grill inserts and then plasti dips the rims. I think it cheapens the look but that just IMO. To each their own.

Ps- ditch the colors on the grill. Looks like 3 pieces of colored tape 🤣. (Sorry but ya did ask for opinions)

Thanks to all for the commentary. I had a pretty good idea what answer I'd get, just needed to hear it. Grill inserts have been removed, never to be worn again.

- emtreefowty - where'd you pick up the black rear diffuser?

I agree with the majority here, the inserts don't look all that great.

My M340i is Sapphire Black and I have a CF style spoiler with no other CF parts, I think it looks just fine. If anything, the CF texture breaks up the all-black look nicely. I was thinking of getting CF front grill as well instead of the black I have on currently.

I kinda like the M colors on the vertical slat grills. But not on the M340i grill. Having said that, I still wouldn't have them on MY car.

This. I think we're all used to seeing a clapped out Bimmer with the stripes on the grill cause the owner is trying hard too make the car something it isn't, so that's what the look gets associated with.

I personally do not like the inserts how they fit that grill.
