How do I turn off passenger mirror tilt when in reverse?

I don't want the passenger side mirror tilting down when I'm in reverse. Can it be turned off? Can't find the setting anywhere. Because of my tight garage and narrow driveway turn, I need to be able to see the inside wall of the garage when backing in. I can't see it right now and it's making parking very difficult.

Move the mirror adjustment indicator switch from the left position to the right position.

BMWs can be pretty quirky.

I had no idea either. My wife recently drove my car & adjusted the mirrors. When I got back in I noticed the passenger side mirror tilting when I backed up. Had to Google search it to learn it is the switch.

Don't be... you are not the first to ask about the dipping mirror, or will be the last.

Same, except I just happened to figure it out through dumb luck. I at least saved myself the call to BMW to complain about the "new car malfunction".

It's a great feature sometimes when you're parking by a curb, and othertimes you don't need it.

I spent like an hour getting mine to the perfect tilt via the bimmer code app lol - you can adjust the percentage tilt in there.

Man you guys are so nice. Back in the day we used to get comments like: :

Yes, the mirror thing can be tricky and hard to figure it out if one is not used to it. I think this goes back all the way back to E46 days.

So happy to see folks are much nicer these days

Being that we’re in winter now, this thread just reminded me of that other BMW/European oddity. The little heart attack you have the first time the chime goes off telling you the temperature is down to 37 degrees.

Definitely a bit of PTSD for me. I had several issues with my M340i and the mild-hybrid system. Each time I heard that chime, my stomach just dropped.

The chime hit a few days ago. I was about to lose my crap, but then I saw that it was just telling me that it's cold. BMW going to give me a freakin heart attack.

Exclamation driver side mirror

Hello, I am new to BMW world. I have noticed every time I push 1 for memory everything gets adjusted but my driver side mirror wants to move the downward obviously that is not where I set my memory to be. I am the second owner of the car. Not sure if I have to reset anything or now. I have a 2020 330i.
