You guys saying that Trump's companies are not eligible, do his companies NOT have employees that may need such protection? Why would they be excluded? I can't imagine that a maid or gardener, server or bartender, front desk clerk, etc., would not need such protection. How about you? Or are you just so focused on orange man bad that you forgot about those folks?

As long as it is proportional to what other companies are receiving under similar circumstances I agree.

Orange man may indeed be bad, but the people that work in places with his name on them are not to blame.

They are affected by this the same as everybody else.

Too bad Trump doesn't feel that way towards others. I think if you work for Trump, you have only yourself to blame.

This admin has effectively neutered congress's ability to do what they are supposed to do regarding oversight.
The admins supporters were ok with investigations being stone walled, election laws broken, Federal investigation laws being broken, tax laws being broken so they've given them a free pass.

Legal or not has not been the basis of any argument that has held any water.

The same type of warnings that were ignored for COVID19 are and have been being yelled from rooftops for democracy. They are also being ignored

They'll take the 2 trillion and do whatever the hell they want with it then state TV will tell you they're being prudent and owning libs.

Depends on the work, but yeah people that work for him should expect their paycheck to either bounce or not show up at some point given the history on it. But there are a lot of places I would expect to get ripped off at some point working at. For many the ability to not take a job based on the principle of who's name is on the company is a luxury they cannot afford. Some are proud to work for those companies.

That said, those we are talking about are honest people doing honest work and should be afforded the same protections regardless of the name on the company.

Now suddenly the concern of self dealing is on the forefront.

While we are waiting on the SUPREME COURT to even let us know if the congressional committee who is in charge of tax oversight is even allowed to see the docs that would provide us with that insight. Law clearly states they are but that hasn't mattered much up to this point.

Too late now guys. What are you going to do about it? Arrest Trump? Let's call his crony AG Barr and ask.

There was a speech given in 2011 by a now famous FBI director labeled "Iron Triangles". May be of interest to Trump supporters to dig in to it. It allows you to see who you've given the country away to.

Not cool. Disjointed response to the crisis has repercussions.

Hospitals say feds are seizing masks and other coronavirus supplies without a word

Quote:
Although President Trump has directed states and hospitals to secure what supplies they can, the federal government is quietly seizing orders, leaving medical providers across the country in the dark about where the material is going and how they can get what they need to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

Hospital and clinic officials in seven states described the seizures in interviews over the past week. The Federal Emergency Management Agency is not publicly reporting the acquisitions, despite the outlay of millions of dollars of taxpayer money, nor has the administration detailed how it decides which supplies to seize and where to reroute them.
