World's First 1/1 Murano Green LCI 330i

I felt the need to make a post on my daily driver. This is 100% and without a doubt a worlds first and/or only bmw in existence in this color and I absolutely love it. Bringing a late 70's Porsche PTS color into the world of BMW quite literally leaves everybody in disbelief. The most common question I get is, "is that a paint job". To answer simply, no it is not. I'm sure many of you know what a paint protection film is but in the past two years or so our brand that's based out of Southern California has been testing products from PurePPF. It's colored infused PPF with the same characteristics and technology as Xpel and Stek paint protection films. Colored PPF will without a doubt take over the world of vinyl. It's a much longer lasting paint like product and I will say this.. I've been beating the hell out of this thing and it still looks immaculate after about 5 months. If anybody has any questions, feel free to fire them off! I just felt the need to share the car because I constantly find myself explaining what colored PPF is. Cheers!

Can you elaborate on how you dealt with bmw ordering tha colour?

So presumably not a normal bmw individual colour so how do you oroceed to get this one off colour
Any pushback initially ot was it straight forward?

Presumably costs more than an individual colour?

And almost forgot, stunning and very unique, quite literally

The cars base color is sapphire black! I achieve the one of color through trial and error with manufactures creating a color infused paint protection film. Won’t be able to find it anywhere else in the world because it hasn’t been created by anybody else yet! Costs for us… unsure. Cost to have a vehicle like ours wrapped in this film, around $8,500 USD. Appreciate the compliment!😎

Great color! Subtle mods Since it's PPF and it's thicker than normal vinyl wrap, were you able to wrap the door jambs? Did you wrap the handles black as well?

It's PurePPF's Venice Green colored PPF! Very similar to a late 70's rendition of Murano Green! There's like 25 different variants of Murano so that that as you will haha!

Thank you! I'm a big a OEM+ guy so subtle mods and classy colors is the way to go for sure! I opted not to do the door jambs since the base color of the car is sapphire black metallic + PPF isn't great for door jambs due to the thickness, it creates issues when closing the doors so no need to do those! It's hardly noticeable! In fact, it seems like every dang time in my car. Somebody has me roll the window down to ask how I painted the car that color!

It looks sooo good!

I agree, door jambs and PPF is hard to do. At least you can roll the edges a little into the creases where it looks like the car is completely covered or painted People will always think it's painted and none will know wiser that it's colored PPF.

What did you do with your door handles? From the pics it looks to be a different color (black?)... did you use gloss black vinyl to fully bulk wrap it?

Exactly! Fully wrapped edges are always the way to go when installing PPF. Whether it's clear, stealth or colored. I never even offer precut kits to my clients because of how god awful it looks after a few months (black vehicles are obviously less likely to show dirty edges but still. no precut kits haha).

My car has the shadowline package so all of my trims are in gloss black and the door handles were painted body color from the factory. It ties in nicely with the exposed roof!

Absolutely agree with you on no pre-cut kits! I've seen a few on friends that have done it on their cars and it looks pretty bad, especially when you spend that much on a wrap.

Now it makes sense why your door handles and roof are black, I thought you wrapped them separately with gloss black vinyl (lol), only to find out that you have BSM and you didn't end up wrapping it altogether It's little details like that which really bring everything together. Great job!
