Hey BMW: open (lose) my window and Hey BMW: open (close) all windows. Gimmick, but a nice one. Next I want to try it with the trunk to see if it has a voice command for that.

It's dead easy. Just go through the list and save the ones you like. Then you can select the option to only show the saved stations. No more endless scrolling

I learned that my 2021 330e when in Xtraboost mode and I floor it at complete stop, it makes the rear wheels spin. Nice.

I noticed this and thought it was faulty but after some research it appears that the top 3 lines or so are NOT part of the heated rear screen, they're actually aerials.

Yes you can do that but it's still not as convenient as the buttons. For example if I have the map on screen to get to the favourite stations list takes a few steps whereas I can just press one of the buttons.

It's personal preference I suppose. Once you have the saved stations rather than all the stations in radio menu, then it's just a matter of scrolling on the steering wheel? The moment you press/scroll, the list appears on the right hand side of the cockpit. Your map view or anything else for that matter isn't affected.

I need buttons for other things. That's all

I learned on my M340i that when e-boost is engaged the background lighting for the gauges turns blue. Kinda cool.

You can select HUD to show you Fave radio station list and scroll using toggle on the steering wheel, this way map will still be in the in the center display.

I don't have HUD but I do get the same list in my instrument cluster I think, so yes I suppose that's another way around it. I'm so used to having radio stations on the buttons though that I still tend to use the buttons more often.
What do you guys program your buttons to? I have 5 radio stations, energy flow, synchronise temps and carplay on my 8. I only really have the energy flow as an easy means to exit carplay.

Good idea so I checked it. The car turns off totally when I open the door. It says Off on the dash and I had to push the start button to get the car to turn back on. I don't hate this but I never realized how much I get out of the car with it running! I think it might be new, maybe with the latest update. I don't remember it doing that before. if 'off' appears in dashboard engine is shutdown (and car is in standby mode). Did you check if there's a notification message when engine shutsdown whrn going out of the car?

More than the positioning, I think it's the use of buttons that makes it worse. The old rotary controller (especially on VAG cars) was intuitive and you didn't need to take your eyes off the roads to use fog lights. With buttons now, taking your eyes off the roads is inevitable.

I bought my first ever BMW (2020 330i xDrive) in mid October, and just recently discovered the setting to auto lock the car and retract the side mirrors when you walk away. I love it. The kick feature to open the trunk is great too.

Does anyone know if its possible to scroll favorite stations in a loop instead of reaching end and having to scroll back to top? Let me explain. If you set 10 favorites, and as you go from 1 to 10 the scroll wheel stops at 10.

I learnt that even if you have your satnav set to mute, you can still have the BMW assistant read out the next direction instruction by pressing the Map button.

As far as I know BMW only support wireless android auto.

I tried the USB audio option today and my God. Night and day difference with quality. With streaming services, it's only possible with BT or WiFi but not over USB. Not cool.
