A lot of dealerships still prioritize profit. Friday I was quoted $64,881.99 for an individual paint order and that part seems ok.....I would have thought we could get closer to $62 but I am a new bmw buyer and I know there is no new discount like the loyalty discount. BUT with $2500 down they want $840 a month on a 3 year 10k lease with 61% residual. So I would be thrilled with $650 and would have ordered right then.

I ordered a brand new M340i and got an 8% discount on it before incentives. These aren't selling as fast as they thought they would in my region and are giving some large discounts. My monthly is close to $500 before tax. Moral of the story, if you know your #'s going into the negotiation, there's lots of wiggle room on these vehicles.

For anyone who hasn't done already, I recommend to check out Leasehackr.

This might be one of the best deals I've seen on this forum.

I received 10% off MSRP before incentives and my payment is quite a bit higher than that.

Sounds like an excellent deal. You should post the numbers to give others an idea.

I'm confused.... How do you guys know this is an excellent deal when you don't even know what MSRP is? For all we know it could be a bare bones M340i, which at $55k, a $500 pre-tax monthly is nothing extraordinary.

Exactly. Also, we don’t know if he put any money down or did MSDs and what his drive off payment was. I just realised that a lot of people on leasehackr who post ridiculously low monthly payments do it for a bare basic car. Also depends on where you register the car at.
I even spoke to a broker and he could not get a lower payment than what I was offered for a car with the specs I wanted. And for a while I thought my dealer took me for a ride, which it turns out wasn’t the case.

Here you go. Mine is Portimao blue with the black all season RFT's and spec'd with drivers assistance, heated steering wheel & front seats, remote start, and ambient lighting (not bare but not fully loaded either). MSRP comes out to a little above $60k WITH $995 shipping fee, but I've added some port installed parts (black mesh grill & rear deck spoiler) and therefore made the MSRP $61k as a very conservative estimate.

I should note that I am also trading in my vehicle to the same dealership (that I own), so they took this into account too. It took me months of going to in-state dealers as well as out of state dealers until I finally got a sales rep who would play ball a couple of hours away from where I live. Leasehackr #'s posted below. There's a chance I may change mileage to 12k, but even then my monthly is still pretty low. Others are doing even better than this too.

Thanks for posting. At least this gives us a better idea of your deal rather than just blindly saying, "one of the best deals I've seen".

Although I can't speak for the MN region, this looks like a pretty good deal. I think 10% off MSRP is the standard "good deal" but that obviously varies by region. But otherwise, nice build and nice deal

The trade-in, is that factored into the incentives? I don't see that anywhere in your calculator.

Nope, I separated the 2 transactions. This way I could see exactly what the #'s were for each. Lots of sales reps will get you by combining the 2. I don't have a ton of experience (I'm 28), but I did a ton of homework and negotiating until I felt I was comfortable with the deal.

I have $4k in incentives before the $500 CCA rebate (loyalty, lease cash, OL code).

The only crappy part is waiting for my vehicle to arrive now!

Nice, you definitely went about it the right way! Too often people combine the purchase and the trade-in into one transaction which gives the dealer a prime opportunity to muddy up the numbers.

Yeah the wait is brutal. I was waiting for both my X5 and M340i at the same time, it was literally a race between the two lol. Exciting times.

Did you get your M340 w adaptive suspension?

I didn't... But I'm starting to kind of regret not getting it. I wish I had test driven one with adaptive to see what sort of difference it makes.

As it stands, I'm coming from a couple of cushy cars (Infiniti Q50 and Lexus IS), so the stiffness of the M340i is kind of shocking to me even though others have praised it to say it's not too stiff. I think the adaptive suspension may have helped smooth things over a bit on certain surfaces and tighten up when I want to have some fun.

This was my build:

Nice build! Thing is loaded! Yes I've considered adding it but I also wasn't able to find one locally at the time with adaptive suspension so I just ordered the basic and have read great things about it.

I would have loved to get the laser headlights but I didn't want/need anything else in the exec package. Dravit grey is awesome color, especially w the mocha leather!

Thanks!

Yeah the standard suspension handles amazingly well that's for sure. For me adaptive would just serve as a way to offer more comfort in the times when I'm not feeling playful. But without having test driven one with it, I had no idea if that was the case.

I can say I definitely love the dravit grey, pics don't do it justice.

I’ve read on many websites that the standard suspension is actually better than the other suspension when it comes to ride quality. They all claim that the car is stiffer with the M sport suspension even in comfort mode and the standard isn’t that bad. So if you’re looking at ride quality, I don’t think you’re missing out at all. I like the standard suspension on my 330i.

I see. Yeah I haven't actually tried the adaptive suspension so I don't have any first hand experience.

I'll just have to get used to the stiffness of both the suspension and the seat over time.

I had 3 test drives with M340i. 2 with M sport suspension, 1 with Active M. I liked Active M. It provided a softer ride but not too soft under comfort mode. Having the ability to make it stiffer when I want is awesome. I ended up ordering with Active M.
