Well, with Norway's extravagant speeding fines one could understand your concern Portugal is a bit more lax...

So coming towards my first full tank of fuel used (got 38 miles range left).
I’ll have covered roughly a combined 550 ish miles with about 220 on electric and the rest on Petrol. Mixed use - no long runs yet.

So roughly to be expected.

Finding 1: the small fuel tank is going to annoy me.

Just ordered a G20 330e M sport Plus edition. Ticks all the boxes for me but all the kids wants to know is if there are USB charge points in the back! ha ha.
Can't see it anywhere in the BMW spec. Anyone with one, know please?

So what was your average mpg and how much electricity used? In other words what did those 550 miles cost?

Are you happy with that? How would it compare to a 320d?

I finally received my 330e yesterday. Today I’ve done the first 2 trips on electric (charging in between), on the first one I did 33km with more than 10km of electric range left, mostly highway at 120km/h (20kwh/100km average). Second trip included more city and traffic and it got worse with 23-24kwh/100km average and in total I’ve done almost 40km on electric.

So happy so far!

Not sure - but my C220d cost about £80 to fill up and for the same kind of driving I’d get around 600 miles. So comparable, if not setting the heather alight.

Tonight I did Stirling to St. Andrews on Xtraboost mode the whole way there had the first and last few miles.

Ragged it on the empty country roads (within reason, still breaking her in!) and averaged 39mpg across that journey which I’m quite happy with! It’s about 50 miles all country roads.

I can get 70mpg on that journey if I am frugal. But it’s better than I thought it would do given the fun I was having!!

Does that mean you were in sport mode the whole way? How do you engage Xtraboost?

Yes except for first and last couple of miles in town when I switched to eco pro. You have three sport settings: sport, Xtraboost and sport individual. In Xtraboost it isn’t on all the time, only when the revs or your foot demands it.

In order to get maximum power do you have to be in Xtraboost mode? Supposing you were in sport or even hybrid mode, if you floor the throttle pedal will that not do the job?

Im not 100% sure - think you need to be in Xtraboost mode. Others will be able to confirm I’m sure.

Another electric only trip today! At 130km/h most of the highway I got 21.5kwh/100km, so I’ve done 40km with 3km range left

What exactly do those figures/charts mean? If it was all-electric how come it shows fuel consumption of 0.9/L per 100km?

Cos I ran out of electricity before I reached my destination.
Trying to figure out if going in Electricity 1 way and hybrid return is better than hybrid eco pro each way with some battery control.
