It’s not a massive loss compared to the BIK saving but should be something people keep in mind who are high mileage users.
31mpg!? Eeek! Bit heavy on the right foot or permanently in XtraBoost mode?? ;-)

Had a 520d M Sport Auto and opted out of a fuel card sometime ago. Fuel card instantly saved me around £200 a month in additional tax and about the same again in tax when I opted out of the company car.

I now get 40p per mile for first 10k and then 25p per mile thereafter but was getting 11p per mile with company car!

With my monthly car allowance, less tax and increased fuel cost per mile I am far better off than I was before.

Pulled on over 1k in fuel alone last month but that's banked now for service, tyres etc.

If you have the option, opt out.
It depends on how many miles you do. From April the 330e will only be 12% BIK, compared to 30%+ for a normal diesel or petrol (e.g. 520d). So I'll be paying about £170/month in BIK tax. The actual lease costs about £350 (My 330e was about £45k with various options). So for £520/month I've got a fully maintained car on a 25k miles/year term. I very much doubt you could get that privately for the same outlay.

It definitely doesn't make sense to get a normal petrol or diesel company car though. A 520d would probably cost you more like £750/month as BIK will be £400 of that.
I wish someone would tell my company that, tried but won't listen lol

I did look at hybrid's but for the miles we do and the limited miles in electric mode I didn't think it was worth it but then again I didn't go to far into it.

With what you said it's defiantly an option for those who can get an hybrid as a company car.

Forgot to add I do anywhere from 25k to 35k per year. 5 series was build for that but way to expensive as a company, someone even had a manual 520d lol

I’ve had mine a few months now and racked up 4000+ miles and even using battery save mode and the occasional (once or twice a day) Sport Mode I’m still averaging around 58 mpg per tank fill up.

Note, my mileage per day - 150-200

I think if I was to start my journey with battery save mode on and run it in that settings I’d probably get around the 30mph mark.

Let us know what setting you’re running in as you should be getting more than what you’re getting.

Sounds like sport mode figures, I'm getting the same as you 58mpg since built and around 56-58 mpg per tank unless I've done a lot of driving without charges in the morning

Only time I've ever seen my average below 30mpg was a several hour B road blast in Scotland, in extra boost sport mode the whole time. Even cruising at 100mph+ on the autobahn gave me around 35mpg, so totally agree that something very odd sounding about that.

Just to add the 330e was a loan car while my 330i was in for fault fixes.

Just left it in the standard mode with odd blast in sport, comparison other cars driven in same style (my old 420d only averaged 45mpg over 100k and my current g21 330i 36mpg over 7k)

Maybe you have to adjust driving style to hybrids? I was just quite shocked as I thought the MPG would have been abit better.
