So I have a 2020 330i with a dme stage 1 tune and resonator delete and I'm trying to keep that flap open. When I first got the car I tried unplugging the valve and it threw a code and stayed there even when I plugged it back in. Im wondering should I try this again, as I dont know if I did it right or is it just not worth it at all? I also looked into removing the clip in the actuator but I'm afraid that the flap will get knocked back closed really easily.

The error code is most likely not from the valve, but from your tune. I'd suggest looking into that part because you should not get an error code from the valve.

I installed the tune months after I cleared the cel and code
