Thumbs up Boot comfort closing irritation

Now I have finally mastered the foot movement......is there a way of switching off the annoying double chirp when closing the boot using comfort Access?

I have switched off the ridiculous double chirp on locking and unlocking the car, but can't see a way of disabling same for the boot.

Any help appreciated.

Yes, you'll find it in iDrive menu car/settings but can't remember where exactly. It was one of the 1st things I switched off.

Anyone else trying to master the foot movement I found that slowly kicking just after the first two letters of your reg did the trick.

Ahh, ok I got you. I only use my foot to unlock & button on the boot itself to close & I now see that what I said previously only stops the opening beeping with foot but not closing so the only way that I can see to stop it is with the boot button. Must be a safety issue perhaps.

Thanks buddy - sounds like ours are both doing the same thing (heaven knows why??) so I'll stop thinking about it and use the button.

Life is hard!!

As I mentioned earlier in thread, try kicking slowly just after the first two letters of your reg plate.

If you get on your hands and knees you can see the two, sensors - they both need to be triggered.

I got the hang of it when the Genius told me not to stand too close to the car and use a quick foot movement directly under the BMW rounded on the boot.

Works most of the time now.....
