Very interesting, as I also have run-flats and haven't run into that issue.
Get a pair of Michelin PS4's and you'll soon realize how inferior the RFT's are. They are pretty terrible, especially considering they're also undersized for this car at 225

I actually have a set of the PS4, just waiting for my wheels to arrive so I could put them on.

See, these are the kinds of comments that made me not want the JB4 in the first place lol

I dont doubt it but I do want to be wrong

Agreed, I should have paid more attention and asked for the Summer package. I mean, I'd be surprised if we get 20 inches of rain a year. It was nearly 90 yesterday LOL

My neighbors 2001 Integra has wider tires than the OEM 225's LOL

Just for the lulz I'm toying with the idea of slapping on some Federal RS RR's you can get all 4 in the proper size for about $500 mounted and the reviews on track use are pretty stellar.

I usually run Conti DWS 06's though so I'd be going against my better intuitions.

The very first day I had the car I sent it on LC and smoked the tires through the intersection. Tons of fun but certainly not the desired effect.

At the drag strip, same thing, car got a little more sideways, as the tires just spun, than I was comfortable with and had to let up and ran a 12 sec 1/8th mile lol

The track was pretty well prepared and it wont get better than that on the street.

Launching in 2nd around 2krpms the car hooked and made boost out the hole. I'm sure the trans didnt like it but I wont tell if you dont.

I experienced the same and got rid of the jb4 it worked well on the old f series but not the G20, the newer dme pulls limits torque a lot more and I see that with flash tuning which is why tuners are now lessening torque limiting in flashes, but the jb4 cannot do that and bef isn’t that great either

But your runs show an improvement from map 0 to map 3 right?

I'd suggest testing map 0 and then map 2/3 (whichever you run daily) on the same road. If possible, on the same day to rule out the effect of ambient temp.

Everything to date has had one issue or another while I figured the car out.

I’ll be back out at Sonoma on the 14th and will perform my original test

As you mentioned, there is a valid increase in performance between the maps and I’m satisfied with my purchase.

On one of my last runs this past week, I was so stoked I ran a 8.04 on a 8.00 dial that I let off at the 1/8th mile mark and still ran a 12.6 @ 92mph just coasting from about the 1000’ mark, so safe to say this is an 11sec car with just a JB4

Car was heat soaked the entire night and temps never got below 140/150 but I know why and won’t repeat those mistakes.

3hrs driving in traffic with the AC on, flying through tech in 5 mins and straight to the lanes before running every 30mins sounds fun but never gave the car a chance to cool down. Also, the engine covers just trap heat like crazy. After removing mine the temps finally started getting into normal ranges but lack of cars kept me running every 30mins or so

14th is full quarter mile, finally, and I’ll bring an extra phone dedicated to the Draggy so I can live stream the runs, capture draggy and waylens data and log via JB4

Can't wait for your quarter mile runs on the strip!

And yes. I personally believe the G20 is limited by it's cooling management. Lots of heat soak.

Copied from above for historical value

##################3-31-21 UPDATE##################

Got some good and bad data from the drag strip today

Car needs a CSF heat exchanger
Driving to Sonoma and hot lapping results in poor 1/4 mile times
Launch the car with all nannies off in 2nd @ 2000rpms
Run flats do hook, I wasnt imagining it

Its late and I just got home so I'll provide a better update tomorrow with videos and the few logs I did get but essentially the car was heat soaked from the 3hrs drive through traffic to get up to Sonoma and I ended up going straight through tech in all of 5 minutes before going straight into the staging lane with barely enough time to put my helmet on before getting my first run in

Again Sonoma was only doing 1/8th miles and I ran everything from mid-9's t0 8.04. Again, more details tomorrow

Nice times..I was able to get a 12.3@116mph in a 2021 M340. Only.mod was JB+ turned all the way up with a E30 mix, 93 octane and E85, so around 96 octane I guess.. I have trapped 117mph on the street before recorded by draggy..I'd love to get a 11.9 with nothing but JB+ and E85 mix sometime.

Nice time given your level of mods. are you RWD or AWD? And what was your 1/8 Et/speed?

8.126s @ 91.91mph in 1/8. The car is RWD. Not the best launch on these 225 tires. Think the car is making the power for a high 11s pass though.
My 1/4 time is in the range of a stock car but the 116 - 117mph trap speeds are better than stock and the car just feels better to drive with JB+

Just about what I ran on mine. I have a JB4 set on Map 3 with about E25ish mix. I feel your pain RE RWD, I have the staggered PS4 setups and I only cracked a crappy 2.05 60’.

8.05@92.13 with a full to the brim tank and 88 degree weather.

Maybe it's a lack of octane..If that's the case it would make sense that car gets slower the more you run it as heat soaks in and it pulls more timing. My only experience with a piggyback on the M340 is with a jb+ turned all the way up which is 4.5psi over stock. I only run this setting with E30/93 pump mix, around 96 octane..Car feels noticeably quicker than stock like this. Car is a 2021 RWD M340 with 225 tires all around.. Best I've managed at track with JB+ is 12.3 @ 116mph. I've hit 117mph on the street before recorded with draggy also.
Give a E30 mix or higher octane fuel a try and see if performance increases for you

Just because you're running more boost, it doesn't mean your times should be faster.
There are many other factors to consider.

If you could drop your 0-60 times in the 1.6-1.7 range you would probably hit 11.9

https://www.mickeythompsontires.com/.../et-street-s-s

in 275/40-17 on some cheap rims could do wonders if you want to be able to drive to the track.

Went to the drag strip over the weekend and my best run was 12.00 @116mph. My best time the prior time was 12.01 so I wanted to try the JB+ I just had in my closet that I had on my prior F30 340i but I forgot and was running late that morning. Hoping to get that hooked up one day and go for another run. I'd be stoked if I can get in the 11s lol.

Car is bone stock '20 M340i xDrive. Stock crappy A/S RFTs. Has MPE but I doubt that makes any difference. 93 octane

I can post a picture of the time slip and my dashcam video of it if anyone's interested.

I'm sure if you can do 12 flat stock, with a jb+ you could probably get close to 11.8 at least.
It took me a stage 2 91 mhd tune with a stage 1 xhp trans tune to hit 12 on my f30 340 xdrive, so still an amazing time.
