Isn't carbahn a piggyback like JB4? I don't think they mean a flash tune.

Nope - they've had a piggyback out for quite some time now (I'm currently running it). I'm impatient and called about their flash tune release date

That would be incredible! Just hearing that there are still teams out there actively working on this is exciting to hear.

If you have had a software update you will likely now need a bench unlock. As an example with my 2020 I was able to unlock flash lock etc etc just fine at home using my Mission Performance software. However once my car eventually went in for the brake recall (I held out as long as I could) the car needed to be bench unlocked

ps- the funny thing is what eventually forced me into the dealership was BMW financial would not give me my lease buyout number (on line or over the phone) until the recall was performed. And in that I am about ready to list the car - I needed that info

I'm not always the best at noticing my pm's here - it seems I'm either on it or not - with no in between - sorry for the delay

Anyhoo I always tell people, while I share what I know, the best source for all things Mission Performance related is Mission Performance. One of the nice things about their operation is that they maintain normal business hours (Texas time) and you can simply call them. Not blowing you off (so please dont take it that way) and if I had more to share I would. I have feedback on the app but not on the unlock. But in that I will be selling my 2020 car soon and moving to a 22/23 you better believe I'm going to be very interested in the progress of the unlock

Didn't go into detail - my guess is that the unlock precedes the flash, since the ECU as we all know is locked.

It has to be the unlock as they already support B58 tuning like everyone else.

I just had the Carbahn piggyback installed. What do you think of it? Definitely a noticeable gain but I want MORE!!

The app is kind of clunky and doesn't really provide many options

Aulitzky Tuning from Germany just unlocked the Bosch 2020+ ECUs bit is currently only offering Unlock + Tune and not standalone.

I‘m sure this is just the beginning.
Maybe someone got the secret from FEMto, maybe someone at Bosch sold the last piece of information or FEMto started to sell the secret process of unlocking.
