Just purchased this along with the Thor dongle. However, on the FB group page, we have one user that is getting a “not supported” error when using the Thor dongle

xHP says MHD Orange for G-series?

MHD site says G-series is only supported using black wifi dongle

My buddy just flashed his M340i and another friend with a supra just flashed his A90 supra using the MHD Orange Adapter. Also for the people who are getting the TCU not supported, make sure your app is updated!

Both of them just flashed it and drove to work today. But both of them said it feels great, trans shifts much better, feels smoother during regular driving, wot shifts are much more aggressive (both flashed stage 3 flash), and manual shifting is faster.

Frustration is an understatement. Purchased it as soon as it launched this morning, bought the map pack and license, no issues hooking it up was quick to recognize the TCU and everything was a breeze until it came to flash. As soon as it went to flash Stage 3 I got hit with the your adapter is not supported (MHD Black Wireless F+G Series). For two straight hours I did nothing but calling and emailing various different companies, from Burger Tuning to ECS Tuning to you name it I called trying to find a Thor Adapter or a Orange MHD adapter. Any business that sold these items were called and emailed with absolutely no one having a Thor adapter in stock (ECS said May 17 earliest...yea right I wait a month for a simple oil change kit). Finally found local SoCal distributor BIMECU referred through Bimmergeeks that had it in stock and is currently being shipped (Big thanks to them hopefully will be in my hands soon). What I find absolutely ridiculous is how XHP failed to mention such a drastic change how does a 2020 G Series car use an adapter made E series cars from 2005 just does not make sense. You would think they would mention at least, "Hey, as a side note adapters are being changed buy ahead of time" before the release now I'm out $400+ dollars sitting here with absolutely nothing. If this Orange adapter does not work then I'm going to lose it, hours of nothing but calling and emailing to get nowhere. XHP needs to step up their game after 2+ years of waiting, absolutely ridiculous.

you can always install the software on your laptop and use the enet cable to flash as well. I used to do that until i got my wireless adapter.

100% agree. We got the red-headed step child of the B58 family. I gave up modding my 2021 months ago and looking at my next car already. Frozen Gray M3 for my 45th sounds about right

Added that we do need the Thor or orange mhd to be able to flash our trans per xhp website.
