I'm pretty certain it's open being I disconnected the plug while it was fully opened. I don't see how it would close if it's disconnected. Honestly I'm thinking about plugging it back in. It drones too much when in comfort mode. If I wanna hear it I'll just put it in sport plus. Again this is coming from a 23 m340i. Maybe it's different for other models.

I believe you are correct.... on my 2020 G20 M340i, I took the fuse out when the Valve was fully open, it has been FULLY open like that for at least 8mths now, with no issues.

I believe the confusion is caused by that "M Division" only in the original post mention that it relates to the behavior of the G87 M2, not G2x.

I have an EU car and want to do this mod, but I saw a few posts talking about it being bad for the GPF but nobody explaining why or how. |

A GPF also needs to be regenerated when the driving profile has many short drives without high temperatures. When removing the fuse or plug from the exhaust valve, this will be suppressed and can result in GPF errors. The error is "1A2810 - Gasoline particulate filter: Efficiency below limit value" and can activate the CEL... When using a controller to always open the exhaust valve, the cars knows the position of the valve and it doesn´t suppress the regeneration process.
