Rear seat belt extender?
Hello all,
I just posted this in the G80 forum, but given we almost certainly have the same parts, I thought I'd try my luck here as well: So I attempted to place my kids' car booster seats in the back seat for the first time, and it's nearly impossible to buckle their seats belts. Not just for them to do it, but for me! The receptacle is recessed and the booster sits nearly on top of it, which interferes with the buckle as it angles inwards. In my F80 and G01 I was able to buy 3" rigid extensions from SEAT BELT EXTENDERS DOT COM, but they don't have anything for the G80. Much to my amazement, it seems like no one does. How is this possible given the G20 has been out since 2019 and presumably has the same hardware? Has anyone found anything that works? Thanks! |

OK, so closing the loop here:
I walked through the images above with the friendly staff at SEAT BELT EXTENDERS DOT COM, who confirmed that R11 is the salient identifier here - corresponding to "Type V" in their product nomenclature. I ordered two and they arrived today, and you guessed it - they don't work. So apparently the rear seat belts in the vert differ from the sedan. Go figure. Back to the drawing board. Anyone else have any ideas? |

Bump. Interested as well. Same problem for me and my son’s booster seat making it very difficult. Ordered the type V from seatbeltextenderpros and those click into the receptacle but the window seatbelt won’t click into the extender.

Belt extenders shouldn’t be used for booster seat. I wish because buckling the kids with booster is such a pain but there are lot of warnings out there (huge lawsuit where kid was paralyzed because the belt extender prevented the belt from working correctly). My recommendation is find a seat with narrower base or don’t have a second seat right next to it.
