How to sell inoperable car - not BMW
My SIL in Mission Viejo has a 2014 Ford Focus Titanium (highest trim level) that has had several warranty repairs to the automatic transmission in the past, and now it’s screwed up again. Dealer has supposedly contacted Ford and they don’t even have parts available to fix it. It starts and runs, but after a short time it displays a transmission overheating message and starts to shift badly.
If she wants to sell it as-is, can anyone recommend a reliable Southern California company that buys old cars? I don’t trust an offer from the local dealer, since they usually don’t even want a car of that age, and it’s always an extreme lowball offer. It would also probably tie her down to buying another Ford. |
