Well while waiting forever and a day for my new M340 to come in, my current 335i went into limp mode this morning. Of course my warranty just ended up a couple months ago and had to happen 1-2 weeks before I was planning to take delivery on my new G20...

Finally can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Received ETA of 3/16 when the car is to be delivered at my dealership. This will make a total of 106 days of very hard waiting time.

Was told the order took so long that BMW NA will have to re-run my credit app which sucks but it's whatever at this point. Hopefully I'm the last of November orders still waiting for their vehicle!

Sounds like you're waiting time is going to be about as long as mine unfortunately. My car was completely assembled by 2/13 but is going to end up being over a month from the time they shipped to the time I take delivery

Well mine is coming from Mexico so I expect it to be much quicker on the shipping side.

Nice! They had to re run my credit app which didn't make me super happy but now they're trying to tell me BMW NA is pushing back on my rates I locked in, saying that was 3+ months ago.

Legit going to be pissed if they try to pull this crap on me in this last week. The MF rates have went up and I not only was told I had "locked in" my rates, but even put down a good size deposit in good faith. Guess we will see how this plays out

The fed cut rates by 50bps. They shouldn't be raising interest rates in this environment, esp with further cuts being expected.

Tell them that and thank me later.

So they said they couldn't honor the original signed rates as we would've needed to re lock the rates at the 60 day period and have done another credit pull.

I expressed my concerns and let my dealer know that I agreed upon a certain amount and that if they want to switch things up on me then I'll buy elsewhere. They are now suggesting to lower the discount further than what we originally agreed upon to essentially make the payment the same as we agreed on and honor their word.

Also worried my trade in value will be reduced but they've also told me to not worry about that. Just feel like I can't ever trust the dealerships so it's made me a little uneasy.

They understand that it's all BMW NA's fault for taking so long so hopefully everything gets ironed out here before I take my delivery next week

Next time I'll make sure wherever I order the car from has an actual allocation. I've learned my lesson this time around

Well said and you have every right to feel uneasy. That's bogus!

I would let them increase the discount to offset the rate (that's not a bad idea). If they keep jerking you around, I would walk. Is it a loss of time loss, sure, but at least it's not cash.

Just make sure with your trade in value and monthly cost you are net net at the same spot you were before. That sounds like a win at that point?

Will do, it's been a long wait for sure and I'm dying to finally get the vehicle but it's gotta make sense financially. This dealer has good reviews so I'm hoping they keep their word!

We selected or 330i m-sport from allocation on 2/12. Dealer called yesterday and said it would be a couple weeks yet and asked if we wanted a loaner until ours arrived!!!! Was shocked!! Great dealership gesture they wouldn't have had to make!!! Said car was in-transit to Maryland due there on the 20th an should be here on the 28th. He said is does have a stop sell order however,which in my experience just means they have a service requirement before they can sell it... Anyone else have this stop sell issue???

got my new plates AND my bmw cca check, in a mind boggling 16 days.

I'm guessing there aren't very many people buy cars right now....

I got my plates this week, bmw cca check was received last week.
so frustrated that after waiting this long I can't drive because I'm working from home due to the freaking virus + my county announced a shelter in place. I was able to put only 450miles since 2/25.
on the bright side, the car is still shiny as hell!

mine has 400 ish miles too.

Though LA isnt shelter in place yet theres no where to go anyway and I'm also working from home . Going to drive up and down ocean blvd today on a nice driving road, that would be full of traffic later and take advantage...

Finally picked mine up today! Was just shy of 4 months wait time. Somehow BMW messed up my trim option, dealers order was accurate. Didn't really bother me a ton and still loving the car. Had them buff out some very minimal marks but everything else is great!
