Engine Mounts + Control Arm at 90k

I recently hit 90k. Got new brakes and tires fairly recently. Just went for oil change, did brake flush. Dealer found two things that need repair:
- Lower engine mounts, both leaking. Quoted $1,789. Besides high price, never had to replace engine mounts on any of my previous cars (mazdas, subarus).

- Passenger front lower control arm has excessive movement. Quoted $854. Which is also surprising as just a few weeks ago I installed new tires and there was no mention of uneven wear or issues with alignment.
All prices are parts + labor. Getting quotes from local shops.

Anyone had to replace these?

I haven't yet, but stop going to the dealer. Find a reputable independent shop which specializes in euro cars.

That's a lot of miles for a 2020.

The tech didn't show the excessive play in the lower control arm, and the engine mount leaks do not look too bad.

One option is to find a reputable local indy to inspect those components for a second opinion.

This! I see no movement there, OP needs to get a second opinion on that.

You would think with video recordings that the techs wouldn't try to get over on customers but that lower control arm "movement" looks iffy and yeah, have someone else take a look at those engine mounts for sure.

I would think it is not supposed to leak at all. And if it is leaking I would think it is at least an early sign that it is about to go.

Re: High mileage for 2020
I commute 60 miles daily. Used to be 100 miles 3-4 days a week.

Wow. Hopefully, it's a nice drive with not much traffic. I remember the days of having a nice car and being stuck bumper to bumper all the time. It's the worst.

I am not an expert of engine mount, at times oil stains can be from other sources, road grime accumulated with miles, etc, etc, getting second opinion from a trusted reputable indy can help.

This clip (e.g. 15:15, 15:45) may give some cues to look for:
