Those multi-spoke wheels and an Alpina specific color are the only way to go in my opinion.

Alpina has always built cars which do not scream performance but nevertheless deliver outstanding performance. B3 does not disappoint.

I wonder because of the extra torque, would the B3 be quicker than the M3 in every day situations? I would think yes. For example, because it has a much fatter torque curve, in every day passing situations, the B3 should pull on the M3 in both comp and non-comp form.
However, after that initial torque surge, I think the G80 Comp or even non-comp would pull closer to the redline. It's a pretty interesting concept and I like the fact that the consumer has more of a choice.

Not crazy about the wheels either, but I would take this over the M3 in a heartbeat. I can pop on 4 new wheels, but that M3 front end is a permanent eyesore.

It is great that Alpina switched to modifying an Msport body style. Not sure what the wheel hate is about, its like Alpina, thats what they do, it is their style and I dont see it that much different to the OZ Superturismos really, and BMW also makes few styles of rims with multispokes and they dont elicit this hate.
This is such unoriginal cliche thing to hate on Alpina rims by some enthusiasts (who think their styling choices are superior and who designed many cars perhaps?), and as such of course it doesnt matter what they think to Alpina. I hope Alpina keeps on cranking these out as those who appreciate what they do (including BMW!) are gonna buy it with those wheels. Now, the Alpina stripe...

And, for those worried about wheel spacers it seems Alpina use quite an aggressive set up, not sure on the spacer width they have adopted but you can see the front's clearly within the attached video at 2:45
