G21: Tanzanite Blue II or Blue Ridge Mountain

Hey there.

About to pull a trigger on factory order of a G21.

I really like the colours I mentioned in the title. Unfortunately however, I haven't seen a single G21 in any of those.

Does anyone here have a car in that colour and if so, would you mind posting it here ?

Thanks.

@J-Tim,

Funny thing is that when I originally went to order my car, I was going to order it in Blue Ridge metallic (individual color for M340), but because it was a European delivery & early in production (I picked it up July '19), I went with Tanzanite Blue -- and have no regrets. This color is a rich deep blue that shimmers in direct sunlight.

Hope the picture below my sign off is OK -- I also tried attaching another

I'll vote for Tanzanite Blue II. It's a super gorgeous color, there even is a thread dedicated to that color here. In the shade it's a dark blue, but in the sun it completely changes with stark contrasts between a light blue and the darker blue. Add a ton of sparkly flakes and you ahve your Tanzanite Blue.

I had to google BRMB but I must say Tanzanite is much better.

Thanks folks. It does look absolutely stunning. I am planning on going for a Luxury Line, which should make the car look even more unusual.

The Blue Ridge Mountain was my original choice as it looks very different, depending on time of the day. From green and blue, to almost silver.

Here's my 330e w/Tanzarite in overcast weather. Its quite dark in those conditions, almost black. Its a nice color, very deep blue and sparkling in direct sunlight.

Afraid I am in the minority. I have a G20 in Blue Ridge Mountain and it is a joy to look at everyday. Like Tanzanite it is very unique. But it changes color completely depending on the lighting, it can varying shades from gray-green to green-blue. Really love the color.

Tanzanite wins for me. Particularly with an oyster or cognac interior it looks really sharp

Gotta say that Tanz. II is just spectacular and on a sunny day pops and shines like no blue I've ever seen. I love it on mine - especially with the Individual Fjord Blue leather I went with...

I'll buck the trend. Blue Ridge Mountain is a more unique color with more variation. While TB II looks stunning in sunlight, it looks utterly unremarkable in any other light.

I work for BMW NA and I can tell you I see a lot of cars in TB II and they all look fantastic! That would be my vote.

I think both are great colors. Personally, TB is too dark for me. Specially living in Seattle, I don't like my car to appear dark black all the time! so I configured my order with BRM

Since no one has posted any pictures of Blue Ridge Mountain, allow me to be the (biased) voice in favor of that color

Have Tanzanite in my X5. The color hides in the shade and sparkles brilliantly in the sun.

If you want a blue that stands out then go for Portofino. I never liked this Blue Ridge color.
