Listen, you don't like exciting new things, you like safe old things. That's cool. But keep it to yourself next time, makes you look meek. |

If calling out confirmation bias is a move, then I guess I pulled the old confirmation bias move? Not everyone who disagrees with you is a troll. Weak response, you're better than this, Todd. You didn't like the big grille design on the earlier 4 series, when it was actually a new design, and - call it a hunch - I bet you spared yourself the old and boring critique. Youtuber has an unfavorable opinion: he's just a clown with an apple pen Youtuber has a favorable opinion: proof that people are over the grille The G20 LCI is the same old boring car from 20 years ago. The G20 LCI has a radically designed front end. Which one is it, brother? This thread reads like an AA meeting where a bunch of drunks are trying to convince eachother that they're not alcoholics. |

No, this thread reads like a weak troll trying to make 4 Series owners feel bad about their design choices. We get it, you don't like our car. Thing is, we've all owned your car, for decades, and wanted a change. Be happy for us. Nor not. But shutting up would be welcomed.

I'm very happy you are enjoying your car, but I'm not the one who has to justify my purchase by putting down the other car. |

I don't have to justify my purchase because I am 1) beyond thrilled with my G26 and 2) would just dump it and get a different car if I wasn't. Wealthy people don't have to be stuck in 5 year loans or 36 month leases. That's a burden for people like you, apparently. |

I have a guess as to what your fourth Book of Trolls cliche will be. Let's see if you type it. |

I think it's time to hang it up, pop. We both have better things we can be doing with our time, and we aren't going to gain even an inch with one another on this topic. Perhaps in the future we can have a more positive interaction. Have a good night. |

Seeing that our cars are brothers, we might as well be too. Peace be with you, my friend. Now that that's over with, tell us more about your car. What color? Which wheels? Photos? How was the first month of ownership? |

Cheers to that.
First month's ownership is TBD. The car is due in the port in 3 days. Hoping everything goes smoothly and I'll take delivery by the end of the month. The car is skyscraper grey with red sensatec interior. 792M bicolor staggered wheels. How about yourself? How has your experience been with this generation compared to older cars? I love it. It's my 12th BMW and the one that accelerates, handles, and is more refined than any other. You can feel the weight and how solid it is yet it moves like no one's business when needed. Feels like a luxury cruiser when I want it to or a beast when I want it to, the Adaptive M Suspension really shines in this car. People put down the Harman Kardon audio system but if you tweak the settings properly it's the best sound I've ever gotten in a BMW. Similarly, people have a problem with the iDrive 8 Climate Control but that too is simply a matter of settings and once you get it right it manages itself brilliantly. When the time comes let me know if you want them and I can steer you in the right direction. I went Brooklyn / Tacora with red calipers, as Skyscraper wasn't available on the 4 Series in M-Sport configuration. Which made me sad at the time but Brooklyn is really special and looking back I wouldn't have it any other way, my next one will be Brooklyn too. Post pics when yours arrives. Hopefully we will have a dry Christmas so you can put it through its paces. Cheers! |

I've heard nothing but good things about the B48/58. I'm very eager to get some extended seat time to really get to feel it out.
It seems to be a common theme that the sound system needs a little tuning to really come to life, so I'll definitely keep in touch to get that sorted out, thanks. I recently got rid of an older Mercedes E63 with the HK, and unfortunately it was the one area where I felt let down. But, there's been a lot of time between when that car was new and now, so I'm still hopeful. The real music came from the exhaust, anyways! Brooklyn grey is a great color, so that was a blessing in disguise. I was inbetween the three grey options for the G20 (Brooklyn/Skyscraper/Dravit) and ended up on skyscraper. |

What is going on with the B pillars and the door frame?

Can't go wrong with either, I personally liked the 340.
I was also considering the 4 series (M440x) versus the 3 (M340x) series. Both equally excellent. The hatch is practical on the 4, but decided to go with the M340. Ordering a new 2024 - should be ready in about 8 weeks. I took most every option, but kept the standard 18 inch wheels to help with ride comfort over the very bumpy / rough roads around Chicago.
The only option I wish it has was a stereo better than the HK (such as the Bowers that BMW offers on other models). I now have the HK in a 330, and it's not that good.). For around 2500, I believe I can get something much better installed after-market if and when I have the time to get it done and can verify that it won't affect new vehicle warranty coverage. As of now, Dravit / Oyster. Here is the photo from the website. Thought about skyscraper, but not sure with the oyster. Still haven't made a final decision. Here are the options: Driving Assistance Professional Package $1,700 Parking Assistance Package $700 Premium Package $1,350 Adaptive M Suspension $550 Personal eSIM 5G $300 Power tailgate $250 Remote Engine Start $300 SensaTec Dashboard $350 Harman Kardon surround sound system $875 |

Awesome write up, thanks for a very thoughtful comparo! I appreciate the beauty of the GC, as i appreciate the subdued grace and understatement of the sedan.
