Lightbulb Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate: 1 of 300

Pure Automotive Perfection. However... I'd change out those wheels immediately.
The interior color is absolutely perfect and my absolute favorite for any vehicle.
Quick question for the Exoyic/Supercar owners here: The 'starter' on this car and other Exotics, always have that "unique starter sound" that other vehicles simply don't. Can someone educate me as to what these vehicles utilize?

Nice looking car. Could have picked a better color to show it off. Those wheels look like a huge PITA to clean lol

Dig the car, I'd change the wheels immediately.

Beautiful. Wheels can stay, interior and upholstery in a different color would be great.

Nice car. Good exterior and interior lines. Good colors. Aesthetics are proper Aston.

Old Mercedes switchgear, but that is traditional for British cars whose manufacturers never quite had enough money to splurge everywhere in the car.

Not a fan of carbon shell seats. They don't look good and don't look comfortable.

Thank goodness for a ZF box. MB boxes are pure garbage.

Where does the V12 come from? Is it the AML V12? The MB M279 is 6.0 liters to my knowledge. That will answer the starter question. MB uses 48V ISGs between engine and transmission but need to clarify who makes the engine. If an Aston V12 it's probably a traditional "Bendix" style starter driving the flexplate.

I didn't hear much of it and I doubt you ever would with a car unless it's malfunctioning, but it seemed to be a much higher pitch/faster start. I remember when we got the high performance starters installed on piston aircraft, it was such a huge difference from the old lumbering slow starters. The high pitched wine was similar and they simply kicked out WAY more starting force/turned faster. So it may just be a starter that kicks out a lot more amps...which may be needed to turn 12 cylinders?

Yeah. It's definitely more of a high pitch electric sound.

I've always found it cool sounding.

It a bespoke Aston Martin designed engine. They are manufactured in Cosworth’s factory these days, but tough Euro emissions regs now mean they can only be used in limited run cars going forward.

FWIW the new DB12 now has its own Aston designed infotainment which is absolutely fantastic. This will make its way into all new models. Who knows if there will be another DBS. Maybe a limited run.

What Aston Martin does so well in their design department....this is an excellent example of.

With such a finely crafted interior, why would you wear gloves when driving it?

The craft on Aston's are exquisite. One downside to the 770 is the infotainment system that is pretty dated. The DB12 on the other hand is much better in that department.

Interior is as elegant as they come. I received my Speedform sculpture from Aston few weeks ago for my Valhalla and even this is very well made.

Thank you. I'm excited! All deposit holders get the same color sculpture, so that was not an option for us....especially since the car is not available for speccing yet. It was a nice gesture nonetheless from Aston Martin.

Built businesses from the ground up. Lot of work, some luck, and lots of discipline.
