^ Absolutely correct and is what I have been told when talking to dealership personnel. Most consumers, even in this price range, will do very little research before making their lease/purchase. Many don’t even look at the various options available and just rely on the dealer.

Just look at all of the buyers that take one off the lot. Many of that traffic is just spur of the moment purchasing.

You didn't have to call me out like that!!! Jkjk

But yes. You're correct. Most of the buyers buy one off the lot. And a majority of them aren't on any car forums. In fact, I joined this forum after buying my car

To further this, and I am in no way taking shots at anyone here, many buyers actually have the financial means whether it's buying or leasing a 3 Series for -/+ $700/month. To people on this forum, they think it's absurd to pay that much either because they think it's not worth it or just too much for a car, but people do lease these cars at those prices and not the $500/month deals.

It's not very common to find a 340i in the $500s range in fact I'd say it's extremely rare unless you're putting max MSDs and it's minimally optioned. You can probably get a base 340i most people I know with an ordered M340i how they wanted with minimal down or none down are in the $700 range. For comparison people are paying 600 and 700 for Acura TLX's lol. When the Type S drops the real rape will begin.

The residuals aren't that great anymore from what I've heard mine is 57% which adds quite a bit to the payment vs 60%

The days of getting low monthly payments like during the F3X run are over without having to put money down whether it's a down payment or MSD's where applicable. A lot of people are very price sensitive and won't spend more than a certain amount on a car regardless of brand but on the flip side, there are way more people who do pay relatively high monthly payments whether it's a 330 or M340i.

The thought on this forum where you need to get it at this price or that price doesn't necessarily reflect how BMW's get sold in the real world. At the end of the day, BMW, Audi, Mercedes are all premium/luxury brands and people expect to pay that premium. Sometimes people get luckier than others but overall people are willing to pay prices we on the forum think are crappy deals.

FYI - My 2018 340 xDrive with a 60k sticker 12/36 is $557.xx/mo including 5.5% taxes. My out of pocket was just under 3k which basically paid all the fees/taxes/first month. All I needed to do was shop 3-4 dealers to get this price.

Big price difference between the current M340i and a 2018. BMW residuals are far worst now and deals are not as easy to be had. There's also not many M340s on dealer lots with good options or M performance parts.

Hi all,

Figured I'd let the experts chime in. How's this for a deal? 330i xDrive, M-sport. I'm questioning the 1100 in add-one.

You got a good discount (10%) and the base MF. I would ask for a break down of the add-ons and the due at signing. The number quoted may be including the rebate so you will want to get the details.

Just curious, does ordering through a broker affect the free maintenance program at all? Do the dealerships treat you differently as a result?

The maintenance program is from BMW not any specific dealer.

It does not affect the free maintenance. You can get it anywhere from a BMW dealership.
It was actually a much easier experience. Since the broker negotiated everything for me, all I did was singing some paperwork to confirm my build. They didn't even try to sell me any protection plans.
Really enjoyed it.

I'm currently looking at a 2020 loaner 330xi. It has 2500 miles on it. It's got Premium, 19" 793i wheels, leather, heated steering wheel and rear seats, and HK. MSRP is $52,520. I'm able to lease it and they're selling it for $44k even, this is about 16% off. Does this sound good?

I'd like to get them down to about 18% or $43k.

Didnt see a Feb. update on lease rates, residuals, loyalty, lease incentives. Did I miss it? I tried to look at Edmunds forum on leasing info but nothing was real clear.

Thanks

I think Edmunds is the best source for leasing info since they tailor it to you specific area since numbers/incentives vary between regions. Just ask them for the info for the lease miles you want and give your zip code.

For Feb. the MF is .00086. RV will vary with mileage and incentives can with model/trim/location.

I just goy my 2021 M340Xi two weeks ago for $ 60, 600. with an MSRP of $$65, 495 here in New Jersey and that includes the $ 2000 BMW incentive and $500 loyal for a total discount of 7.5 % and looking at the true price history this was a bit better than the average price so I was very happy. Not sure how in the world you guys are getting this kind of discounts maybe you are in locations where these cars are not in demand, because here in NJ I don't believe you can get %13 of MSRP.

Agreed. I use a broker who I've gotten phenomenal deals from on 3 prior cars. The best he could do this time was 9% off pre-incentives on a build. They would have done 10% on a vehicle in stock.

Yes yes yes lol, $57,275 + taxes and fees. Out the door was $62,450

It’s more than I planned on spending but the 330i didn’t hold a candle to the M340i. Drove them nearly back to back and the M340i sold itself.
