Rear trunk spoiler

I'm looking to replace my rear spoiler with something more visible. I think carbon fiber would look great against my Portimao blue and, funds/wife permitting, I plan on adding front lip and diffusor one day. I've spent a while researching vendors and lip designs but I'm lost. I'd love to get some feedback from you guys and girls of good (and bad) vendor experiences and any other thoughts you might have. I'm planning on installing myself so install tips are also appreciated.

Thanks!

I went with AA Concepts front lip, and Kies Motorsport for the m4-style rear spoiler. Quality of the CF from both is excellent, and fitment is nearly OEM in my opinion.

There's a few threads already regarding install for the front lip. Kies has a great video for the spoiler if you check YouTube for G20 spoiler install.

TLDR version is 70% isopropyl alcohol for wipe down, Heat gun with some 40lb fishing line, 3M adhesive removal wheel + drill for current spoiler removal, 3M super strong molding tape and 3M adhesion promoter, self tappers with foam-sided washers for front lip (spoiler use the 3M tape only).

Re-using some old photos because I'm not finished putting mine together yet, but these are from after ceramic coating and detail:

That's a nice looking car! I like the look and size of your rear spoiler, I'll check out Kies. The install video is good, thanks!

Thanks!

It also helps to have a second set of hands to line things up and hold the spoiler in position when you're peeling off tape backing.

If you don't have a second set of hands, using pieces of painters tape to mark several indicators for lining up the edges is good. I used two different pieces in the middle - one on the spoiler and one on the hood top, then marked a thin perpendicular line across both pieces to ensure it was centered during the final installation step.

Any closer images of the rear spoiler? Considering installing the same one from kies but cant decide between that one or one similar to the oem spoiler.

The original factory CF spoiler available at the dealership looks great and easy to install.

It does not affect my sensors at all. I don't know exact film, my tinter uses LLumar films exclusively though. It is ceramic, but I have no dimming issues.

I just ordered the AA Concepts front splitter and the Ikon smaller rear CF spoiler...both would work with your color too but there are a million options depending on what you like. Mine is Mineral White though. Still waiting on both of them to arrive. m.b has a Tanzenite one but can't remember exactly which ones he has...maybe nothing.

Car is super dirty but took a few quick shots. I didn't do a very good job with my corners, had to rush to get this installed before ceramic coating and I didn't give myself time to properly pin the corners down very well so you can see some lift from my side profile in photos. If you're more careful and do this properly it should sit flush much better for you. I'm going to probably heat the tape in the summer and try and smoosh things down tighter, just too cold right now.

On the Kies website, it doesn't show anything for the G20 3 Series, did you buy it from the M4 option?

Just search for G20 in their search bar.

https://www.kiesmotorsports.com/sear...duct&q=G20

The one I have is the m4 inspired spoiler.

I ended up going with the AutoTechnic CF spoiler. I was very impressed with their customer service, shipping, product quality etc. Getting the old one off, clean up and install of the new one was pretty simple, maybe took an hour but I wasn't rushing. Overall, I love the look, not sure if it's the color or increased size but it makes a lot of difference to the look of the car!

Thanks, I think it makes a lot of difference to the look of the rear of the car.

Please post pics after your install, that's the next piece I'll be getting (from AutoTecknic too).

What size wheel spacers are you using? They fill out nicely!

Will do. Just realized we spelled the company's name three different ways and only once right lol.

AutoTecknic, you had it the last time - sorry whoever came up with this name.

Hi Guys,

What are the list of eligible cosmetic modifications or add-ons for 2019-2021 BMW 330i (G20) - not to void factory/dealership Warranty(USA).

I'm planning to add the below parts to my G20. Please help me if these will or will not VOID the factory/dealership warranty.

1. Spoiler
2. body kit skirtings
3. Vinyl Wrapping
4. Front Grill Replacement

Thanks in advance!!!

Some quick pics. The installer mentioned the fitment wasn't the greatest compared to OEM, he said the diffuser may be prone to popping out of the tabs along the TOP from the trim and would need to be pushed back into position when that happens. He didn't think normal driving conditions would cause this, just said if someone bumped into it or put any force on it from an angle it could pop loose. Overall like how it looks though, just wish I didn't have any fears about popping out. Maybe some 3M tape to fix the issue if or when it happens.
